manny as always that bow is just awesome, i just love what you can do to a piece of wood that most would probably toss into the fire pit.

in my opinion, and thats exactly what it is, you are one of a handfull of very very talented bowiers on this site, the others that i admire have been told so too in other post or emails.

please dont leave this site because of a fewchildish and envious individuals.
i love to looking at the bows you post, even the ones that are not
by my standards, awesome, which 98% of yours are truly awesome. you my friend are one KINKY bowyer, and your latest works of art prove it.
talent cant be taught it is natural and you are a true natural.

keep em coming brother

I have never worked with yew and I was curious about the knots that are evident on the side profile of your bow, how does the wood that composes the knot relate to wood around it, is it bending at the same rate, or not at all? It looked like you had a constant width taper, so i assume you didn't compinsate for them by adding any width.. All I have worked with is Osage, so I'm a newby to everything else lol.     Ty

Aries, I totally disregarder the knots, just taper the bow as if they where not there, it seems to me that the wood around the knots is way harder than the regular wood

Thats the way I do with Vine Maple too Manny......I lay the Bow out....and the Hell with the Knots......that stuff is tough enough too....

Hmm intersestin, I will remember that next time im layin out an osage and see how it works out ;D. That sure would save a heck alot of trouble debatin any width adjustment  :o   Any body have and experiences trying this with osage? I have read before to try to compinsate for knots by adding extra width, so that is always what i have done, usually with slightly unsightly buldges in width taper.  Ty
