John, here is a few pics of the osage static I made to hunt with this year. It has cherry bark backing but I do the same wrap with snake skins. I prefer to leave the last 6" or so without skin(bark) but the wrap would be the same at the very tips. I like silk thread because it is thin but strong. Other types of thread will work also. Once set in super glue it is like a solid band around the end of the skin.

Very nice! I like the looks of the bow a lot. I think I might do a Ferret Floppy on my next bow. It looks clean and simple.

Phil, it tapers from 1" at the fades to 3/8" tips. After huntin season we'll have another get together. I'll let you know when we do.

Thanks for all the comments guys.

John:  First time I've seen this, kind of been off line for a while.  That looks great.  I'll have you a couple of stone points ready hopefully the week of Thanksgiving to fling with that beauty.

Mike, I was wondering were you had been. This is the bow I WAS going to let you hunt with until I decided to make it my personal bow. >:D I have another for you though...If you ever get over to get it. ;D

Give me a call

Hey John.  I'm over in Pappy's neck of the woods (sort of) Smyerna, TN.  I should be back this weekend.  I'll give you a call when I get back.  I just hope to hunt, period but to use a bow of yours would be an honor to boot.
