PeteDavis:
I'm an amateur but the Flint Ridge is good stuff. It's full of healed fractures, most of them in my batches have been stable. A few blowups however. If you ever can, go the the Flint Ridge Knap-In in August. There are folks there with huge piles of the stuff and cheap practice buckets too.

Nice points. Must be nice to be able to label them for one day of the month. I would have to label mine with the month and year. ;D

Nice points,I went to the flint ridge knapp-inn in 07,I agree a big gathering ,tons of rock and nice folks. The flint ridgr material is great to work and there are a few people that handle it so there are some nice colors. My cousin went this year and is sending a couple peices down this week.I feel like a kid waiting for santa.
Again those are a couple sweet points

Nice points. I love that Flint Ridge. The color varieties are awesome, but sometimes you find hidden cracks or quartz inclusions at the wrong time. If you get a nice point out of a tricky piece, it makes it that much more special.

Here are a few flintridge points, the white one is flint from the Nethers farm and the other two are Roy Millers rock.
Hope to get my mits on more of this.I agree on the quartz pockets,I have had some real stinkers. Most of the time it's
good working material.
