OldBow:
Leroy Buckley, Jr. (wytetale) of Bureau, Illinois and His
Bamboo backed Jatoba and Osage
is October's Laminate Bow of the Month
http://www.primitivearcher.com/smf/index.php/topic,9581.0.htmlThis bow is a real bar raiser and here is how Leroy made it:
Here are a couple of pics of a Tri-Lam I made. Core is Jatoba and the belly is Argentine Osage. The riser and power strip are Pau Fero. The bow is 62" and draws 55#@28" Off the form the tips came up 2" above the handle. When I was done tillering, they still came up an 1 1/2" It is a real shooter.
My Dad is a partner in the making of these bows. He is 71 years young and we build the  bows together. He does most of the glue ups and I do the tillering and shaping of the risers. Its  a way for us to spend more time together enjoying what we like to do.His name is Leroy Buckley  Sr.-"Beautiful bow,Tiller looks good and the finish work is excellent. Nicely done." Pappy
Forum members gave this bow a lot of praise:-
"Incredible, Very nicely done. Excellent profile, glue lines are perfect and everything flows beautifully. The tiller is perfect, spot on.  Want to trade something???" - Keenan
-"Wow, very nice bow and i bet it shoots quick too." Limey-Josh
-"I'll be able to type better once I get my jaw off of the floor ." - Kegan
