A treasure of arrow heads lost.
mullet:
Well.. I sold a 2"er, 6 years ago for $2100. It's in the arrowhead book "The Best Of The South", listed for $2400. Some of those big Cumberlands from Tenn. are worth a lot more.
cowboy:
Yup, that's a crying shame :'(. I've heard similar stories but not that big of a collection. Depends on what kind of points were in there - I've seen some listed for $30,000 plus and heard of one selling for around $80,000. Sheesh...
Ryan_Gill_HuntPrimitive:
thats a shame, and to think i have never found a point....and i look all the time, lake beds, washouts, contruction sites...i just dont have anyluck...and she threw all those away....if i go looking in nashville i might find the motherload all at once though. ;D
El Destructo:
I have a friend of Mine that has been collecting Arrowheads and other Points and Tools for over 30 years.....in His House alone ....His collection has been estimated to be worth well over 300,000 dollars....but Kenny would never part with even a broken Point....He will go to His Grave with them!!! His House is like a Shrine to Native Americans....the Walls and every Piece of Furniture that will hold a Piece is covered with Display Cases....it is Awesome.....I cant believe that in this Day and Time....these People were so Naive to think that these Artifacts were just worthless Rocks....how Ignorant can One be???
Dale:
I don't personally know this woman, but she is unquestionably blonde at heart ;D. I'll tell my son-in-law to log on and if he thinks she can take it, to show her this string and see what she threw away as worthless.
I guess there's no need in crying over spilled milk. Too bad this isn't a glass of milk instead of thousands of dollars worth of irreplaceable artifacts. :(
I loved the orangutang!
