Arrow rest?

hi, I ‘m looking for the information of the first installation of an arrow rest?

Who had build the first arrow rest on a bow?? (a piece of antler or leather, a wooden plug, a nail whatever......)

They were around before the 1950's, but not too much before 1900. Other than that, I can't really help much :P.

I do know it'd technically be more "traditional" to use a bow made with a bandsaw than one used with a rest if that counts for anything.
