Title: Ancient sudbury hunter (full draw added)
Post by: LEGIONNAIRE on August 31, 2011, 02:28:49 am
Just recently a friend of mine installed photoshop portable on my computer so I could edit some of my pics. Since I dont live in the forest or anything like that the background of my pics is less than pleasing so I decided to mess around with it a little. I just finished a sudbury style bow 55lbs @ 28 inches that I will be taking hunting so I snapped some pics and editted hem. I was just hoping to get a white background. The bow is made from black locust and has some native american motifs painted on the back. It takes very little follow and once its unstrung for a few hours looses all the follow.
I also made a nice rivercane quiver to go with it and 6 cane arrows, 5 2 fletch and 1 helical fletch. This bow is going hunting with me this weekend :) so hopefully we get some meat! heres the pics (you can see my inexperice using photoshop).

Nice Caesar!! Don't worry about the photoshop. Looks like you are gettin a pretty good handle on it (coming from someone who uses it regularly).
Your masking selections look pretty good for a noob. A little practice and you'll be doin as good a job as you do on your bows. Oh did I mention Great set! I really like the motifs on the bow. Good luck hunting. No money shot? ???

Looks nice, are those the tail feathers I sent you?  I like the quiver, did you spilt all the cane yourself?

Ok so heres the money shot you fols wanted to see. hard to see with the lighting but hopefully you guys can see the shape well.
Thank you for the nice comments.
James: those are the feathers you sent, thankyou. I did split the cane all by myself, not to hard but it was sure time consuming.

Thanks pete@SA- took about 5-6 hours but I had to wait for the cane to dry 2 or 3 days to finish it because it shrinks and you have to tighten it back up.
Thanks Cameroo!
Thanks Matt
Thanks GMC
