Title: board stave question
Post by: walkabout on September 04, 2010, 01:42:14 pm
wondering whether or not it matters which side of a quartersawn board one would use for the back of a bow, whether it be the side which the crown of the grain would be the back, or the side which is the inner portion of the rings. hope my explanation isnt too confusing.

I think I'd do it with the crown as the back although it might not make a difference.
