From Barney
Horn sinew composite. Hickory core, Cocobolo handle laminates and ears. 40lb at 28''.String length 46''. It took about 8 months to make, though most of that was waiting for the sinew to cure. For the poundage the bow is fast (especially with light arrows). Like most short composite bows it has a high string frequency or dry fire speed, meaning the string really 'twangs when plucked'. The down side with such short bows is they lack the stability of their longer counterparts, so any errors in shooting form are exaggerated.
I can't shoot this as accurately as my ELBs. Pound for pound it's definately faster though.
I'm photographing the stages of another build and will post a build along when complete in a couple of months.
Here is a sampling of some of the fine praise this bow received
"You nailed that one, looks perfect." -Scott D
"Wow!!!" -Lombard
"That's flat out sweet. Those things look like they'd be a blast to shoot." -Jonathan Creason
"that's real sweet. It's like a real nice cake, you don't want to eat it (or in this case shoot it), but just look at it." -youngbowyer33
"Barney, that is an exquisite bow. Wow, what beautiful lines and laminations. I'll bet it shoots smooth and fast. I know how hard these are to build, and you did a great job." -DirtyDan
