I'm gonna make the set out of rainbow obsidian because that what material I have left right now. I'm going long on the bases to add a little extra weight. I figured if I'm going be ready for hunting season this year I better start preparing now.

Looks good! Are you still in Florida? What are you going to be hunting?
Yosemite Ben sent me a couple of pieces of rainbow obsidian. I cannot figure out exactly what I want to make with it, and I do not want to screw it up because it is such a pretty stone.
Good luck this fall!

I'm in Florida now but I'll be moving up to VA soon. These are arrowheads. Working on an elm bow now too. Thanks gents!

You'll need to make you a few boxwood or dogwood billets for that Virginia rock. It's a little different than coral or obsidian.
What area of Virginia you moving to?

Tim although notched points look cool when hafted, they were actually
meant for extracting the point for another jab.
Triangles are the true Abo arrow points. Although I prefer a straight stem.
Easy to make and more sturdy than a notched point when hafted.
Good to see you here shakin up this long abandoned Child Board.
