does anyone have a build along for a maple self bow? if so please post them.

Take a look at Gordons hazelnut bow build along, covers about everything you can imagine.
You may need to change dimensions a little but thats not a problem.

Sourdough remember that patience is one of the keys to building a good bow,
and don't hesitate to ask questions. Looking forward to seeing it when yer done :)

Don't wait till you are Done....Post Pictures as you go....so just in case you don't see a Problem occurring....someone here may....and save you a bunch of grief down the Road....don't pass up the Quality of Advise you can get for Free here...it would be a shame

i will definately post pictures under bows section and posting pitures as i go is a good idea as i am new to making bows.thanks for the good advice.

hey sd,
on youtube there is a exellent vid on how to make a bush bow. it gives you all that you need as long as your looking for function not glamour. Its made by Dave Canterbury. but just type in "wilderness outfitters archery"

there is another guy on youtube. he goes by the name "paleoaleo" he has spectacular build along using stone tools, so your never without tools. im not sure but he may even have one using modern tools if you want to go that route. I personally stick to sticks and stones. The world is full of em and there FREE!!!!!Lol

howdy again everyone, im new to this site,but have been a subscriber forever. i've been lucky enough to have made a handful o' bows and have enjoyed the journey thusly:) but anyway, just split & spliced some osage this morn. wish me luck:)
