Title: snake skins?

Saw this big mama on the road up to my moms property, to bad it hadn't been run over or I would have had a nice skin.

That would be snake skins on the hoof there. :o
Is that a Western Dimonback?  How long do you think it is?

Sure looks like the WD to me, it was about 4 ft long easy. It didn't move the whole time we were there and it looked like it had just finished eating.

The way the swelling is at the entire back third makes me think that there may just be a gravid female....

In these parts you don't see gravid females "roaming" or crossing roads much.  Although Frank and I found 2 gravid sidwinders 2 weeks ago crossing a dirt road in one of our favorite sidewinder areas.  Neat find Michael.  Hopefully she'll avoid the tires long enough to drop those babies.
