First off I will confess, these are from blanks. :-* Im not the best knapper in the world, but here are a few I just finished. They are about 2 1/4" long and 1" wide.

They look great Justin but seeing as how you cheated you should send them to me ;D
-
Good looking points, but why would a guy resort to slabbing? 8) Ha, Ha ,, because he has a saw and can! ;D :D ;D
-
I second DanaM and Eddie. Good job. I have about 30 slabed blanks and I guess I had better get going on them. Ex++++ Justin.

Ahh, excellent - most excellent ;D. Those are great Justin, I've made a few outa slabs and it's just as hard to me as using spalls. How did your rock cooking turn out?
-
It turned out great. Flakes off beautifully. ;D Justin

those look great Justin. doesnt matter how you got there, those are some nice points- Ryan

Slabbing and cheating :o :o Not me, I just beat all my rock into a pile of dust :o Nothin wrong with those Justin, they look great! And don't let any say thats cheating. It sure makes the rock go farther.

Good deal, good deal - hopefully not too many of em blew up on ya. If they didn't you did something right ;D. Keep an eye on the mailbox ::).

Hey, there ain't nothin wrong with making points out of slabs. It's a much more conservative way to work stone, especially if you're a beginner. If you can use modern technology to maximize the number of points you can make from a certain piece of stone, then by all means do it! Just like buying a Honda in todays expensive gas market....it makes sense.

Gots to learn inderect percussion and blade core tech. Save rock and make lots of tools!

Those are really good looking points Justin! ;)

Thanks guys. The main thing I like about blanks is how easy it is to get almost perfectly matching hunting points. And I promise they still kill quite well. The weight is extremely close as is the length width and thickness. Knapping is still a little tricky because the thickness or lack of it makes it hard at times not to snap the tip off. Anyway, thanks again for the compliments. Justin

Nice points Justin. No shame, some of my nicer points came from blanks
