Woring with my mate JT to get a warbow to brace for the first time. Eased off his pull on the bow/stringer... brace is 4"... 3" ... 2"... boing!
What's broken? Nocks are ok, string still in place.... What???!!!
My aluminium string adjust ring had been pulled apart (or cut through my the string). :o :o :o
If I hadn't witnessed it I'd have said it was impossible !
There's a lot of tension in a braced warbow string!!! :o

I use a removeable chain link. Works great.

I use a steel ring I made from 1/4” round stock

Aluminium work hardens. I suspect that is the problem here. Have you been using it for a while? As mentioned a steel chainlink will last forever.
