Title: Lucky find?
Post by: DC on June 11, 2018, 04:16:10 pm
I just took some prunings to the recycle center. I found this. I'm pretty sure it's Plum. It had fruit on it, about 1", hard, sour and it had a pit. Should
ve brought a couple home so I could show you. I don't think cherries have fruit this early here. Bark looks more plummish to me. What do you think? If I can't make a bow with those curves I can get a few billets.

Bark came off real easy so it's freshly cut :). Turned my hands orange though.

That should make a beautiful bow. Mind I believe the more curves and knots the better.

Yeah, I like twisty lumpy bows too. This one has a couple of big knots. I've cut it into four billets. Now just wait a year.
