has any one read..old tools new eyes...i have been wanting to get this book..just wondering how it is.john

Worth the $$. Bob goes in depth covering his subject.  He has even ansewerd some of my knapping questions over on PP.  You can tell he has been at it for a long time.

IMO it is one of the best knapping books. It gives a lot of details about how flint behaves, and has "recipes" for many point types. Plus, I just like Bob's writing style. His book "Peoples of the Flute" is a good one too-it goes in depth with the fluted point cultures-Clovis, Folsom, Cumberland, etc.
