I got mine today and it truly is a work of Art. I got my arrow from Art and it is a beauty and looks extremely deadly and I will definitely copy it to the best if my skill. I will get pics up tomorrow. It also came with a nice leather broadhead cover that im guessing ties to your bow.
Grady
-
Lucky you. You better shoot it or I bet you won't get another, unless you bribe him. ;)

Already in the quiver.

Mine is all done and packed up, ready for Monday morning mail.
Lucky dog Grady. Artsy makes same of thee fneest arrows in town. I have 3 of his arrows in my hunting quiver for the year.
-
I hope that arrow will work for you Grady. One of my hunting arrows from '07. That set served me well that year. It's a fine shooter for sure! Would've liked to have made you up something special but my meds won't allow for fine detail work at this time. You can tell that from my writing :'(. Enjoy your arrow, and "make some meat"! Art B
-
Oh I will, what did you use over the shaft and wrap where the broadhead was hafted, epoxy? That is a fine arrow for sure.
Grady
-
That was done with the old Devcon 30 min two-ton epoxy Grady. New stuff they sell these days isn't so workable, but still usable. Flowed the epoxy out using a heater.
Hey, you're correct, that arrow holder attaches between the upper fade and limb. I learned real quick that you can hang a bow on a tree while in a stand but no way to hang an arrow with it. This way the arrow stays with the bow at all times while hunting. I think you'll like it also.......Art B
-
Mine just left for Yankee country. ;D

good looking arrow Dan.

I need to add a final sealer coat and hopefully get them out this afternoon or tomorrow at the latest.

Please mark me down as shipped. My better half dropped two tubes off at the P.O. today.

Sexy arrows Fred! Someone will be proud to have them!
-Dan

OK folks, finished and in the tube. Hope to get it out tomorrow. Oceanspray shoot decorated with natural pigment paints and stain then sealed with shellac. Buffalo bone point and turkey fletches are sinew wrapped. The sinew holding the point is protected with hard pitch so this baby should last for quite a while -as long as it's penetrating meat!
I've been shooting her sister (test arrow) for a week now and finally left the tip of the point in a tree. Reshaped it and been shooting ever since. Buffalo bone is pretty resilient but I threw in an extra just for grins! I hope the recipient enjoys it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Shipped my arrow(s) today. They will probably be at their destination on Monday(maybe Tuesday).
-
Mark me as shipped should be there Thursday or Friday

Big apology to my recipient for not shipping yet. Mine will be mailed tomorrow. I leave in two days for a caribou trip, and moonlight as a painter from my real job as a loans officer, so the last couple of weeks have been fairly hectic for me. I hope my recipient enjoys the arrow as much as I had fun making it.
I called mine "Recycled" for a few reasons. Last year we tore down our cabin at the lake in order to build a new one. As we were getting rid some old furniture I took apart some fir shelves that were built in the 70's and didn't have the heart to throw them out. The scrounger in my thought I could make some arrows with it. I cut square pieces off the boards and used a John Strunk arrow board and planer to carve out the arrow profile. The black walnut hard wood nock inserts (a first for me) came from a cabinet shop left overs from some kitchen cabinets. My broad head was made from a skilsaw blade I had kicking around. I carved it out using a dremel and file, and then silver soldered it to a ground down field point.
I'll post a pic of the process when I get my pics down loaded.
-
Mine went out today.
-
Mine has been shipped. I had hope to post pics, but had problems uploading. I leave for my caribou hunt tonight and will be back in two weeks. I'm hoping that my recipient who is more Computor savvy than me can upload the pic. I had fun with this and hope he enjoys it.
-
