got him this summer. 8 yards ash selfbow, pine arrow blunt with turkey feathers and pine pitch sap.

Nice shot! I have missed several so far this year... I don't think I have ever hit one that small, though. Thankfully, in the part of OK where I live, there is only fox squirrels! Don't think I could hit many of those red squirrels... :o

Nice shot, Mitch. We call those red squirrels "boomers" down here in the Smokies. They're about twice as fast as a gray squirrel, I've actually had them dodge arrows a couple times-challenging little critters to hunt.

thanks, by the way i missed about 30 shots before this guy. and i did have several dodge arrows(freekin matrix squirrel) not even kidding at like 10 yards. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh :'(

I love hunting those reds takes a few to fill the skillet but fun and good practice... when I was a kid I would chase them up a lone pine and climb up and shoot them with my bow... cornered one once and he ran right over me in the tree...darned near fell out :o HAWK a'ho
