if you could meet any one from PA who would it be..there is allot of people that have some great skills on here and you don't have to give a reason why...for me it would be..HILLBILLY,for having a kind heart-BILLY,for picking his brain-PAT B,to make some shaving with and see how he makes them fine quivers..john

John, I've met quite a few of these guys and believe me, you ain't missing much! ;D Actually I have enjoyed each and every one I've met. Not in the least disappointed.
I've been trying to meet Mickey Lotz(the Ferret) for years now and it hasn't happened yet. One day it will happen.
-
pat b we have done some trades and talked on the phone. he is a great man. would likt to shoot with him one day.
-
Well, I've met all of those fellers. Hillbilly and Billy are really good guys, salt of the earth. Pat-well, he's ok I guess if you like that sort of thing. ;D ;D ;D Actually, I've been lucky enough to meet a lot of the guys and gals on here in person, and they're a great bunch of people. John, you need to come to the TN Classic, and you can meet us all until you're tired of us. ;D

Mickey's website was a good source of information. Does he come to some of the shoots? I read on here a while back that he was taking a break from Archery ???
-
Darn near anyone on here I'd be proud as heck to shoot the breeze with and sit down to a beverage of their choice but these guys top the list for me... El D, Mullet, David Knight, DanaM, Justin Snyder and I'd love to spend an afternoon in Gordon's shop. Would like to hang out with Josh and Skyarrow too...mostly because they are age appropriate...the others mentioned are kind of old and might fall asleep in the middle of the conversation ;D >:D
-
NTD thats funny
glad im not as old as them guys ;D
for me,well i already met a few from here that i am glad i had the opportunity to meet
but i would still like to meet El D,Jamie,Bowkee, cowboy, mullet

Keenan and Gordon, they might teach me to make bows if I'm lucky ;)
They might................... ;D
As for me I have met the Mighty Mullet and his lovely Bride...Hillbilly and Mrs. Hillbilly....PatB...Dana...Jamie...Ryano....that crazy Kilt Wearin Chris Cade...my Buddy Cracker....King Ron...Wolfwatcher....Jesse....JesseS and His Better Half...and I mean better half...... ;)....David and Cora Knight...Marie....and SarahAnne...who kept me company when I was lonely..and fed me so I would not starve inthe Hills of Tennessee.... :P....and Man the list just goes on and on...But the One that I will never Forget in my Life....is Pappy...this Man is the epitome of all Southern Good Ole Boys....He is the most giving Person that I have ever Met...to open His Place up to the Likes of Us every Spring like He does is unheard of in this Day and Age... I have to Utmost Respect for Him and His Beautiful Wife...for the Kindness and Gracious Hospitality...I had never met Him once...and He made Me feel like Family...from the First Moment I got there...till the moment I drove away with Tears in my Eyes........
So I don't know who I could meet from here that would etch a more everlasting Memory in my Mind than this.... So I will stop by saying...that if I could meet anyone from PA...it would have to All of the Rest of You....... ::)
-
I wouldn't know where to start. I met several guys a Mojam one year but don't know them by their PA names so wasn't able to make the connections. I met Timo, Mickey Lotz, Gary Anderson.
The guys who were around here when I started would be first on my list going back about 10 years or so I guess, Tim Baker and I live close and have become good friends when we aren't fighting about something. I Have met Scott ( one eye).
Some guys on here have always been real special to me even though I haven't really talked with them much. Pat, Justin, Hillbilly, Mark, Dcm, Brian Meldon, DRt, Art, Little John, Dam, I really would like to meet nearly all of you. Steve
-
I have been lucky enough to meet a lot of folks on here and if I live long enough I plan on meeting the rest so far and I mean this the pleasure has been all mine. I have meet Micky several times and he is a fine man,I would like to meet Badger,Jawges and Marc they are so full of knowledge. :)

I think I would take Pappy's list and add Mr. Huston and Manny to it.
Most of the fokes I have met has been at the Tn. Classic.
I may have to go to HI to see Manny. :D

I have met a few on here, but I would like to get down to the Tenn. Classic and meet Pappy and the crew there. Lots of knowledge there in that place.

I've already met a lot of good folks by going to the classic Pappy and the Twin Oaks crew Sarah and the P.A. crew Geary Davis,Mike McGuire,Eddie"Mullet" Parker,Hillbilly and a host of others. It is just so unique to be able to put a face with the names and personalities that you meet on the computer. If you get a chance to go to the Classic you will get to meet and socialize with many interesting people. I would gladly sell my best coon dog to be able to go.Ronnie
-

Wouldn't mind meeting that damn Yooper I hear he's quite the character ::) :P ;)

Just counting off the top of my head, I've met close to a hundred PA'ers in person, and hang out with several on a fairly regular basis. It would be good to meet everybody on here. I'd like to bust a rock and shoot some bull with TimO, haven't met Marc yet, or Jawge, or Badger.
-

quit thinking and come on,we will make you feel right at home. The first time I meet Marie I had only been talking to her by e mail and for some reason[I guess it was the Primitive archer thing]and sometimes I read so fast I don't pay attention,I thought it was Murry, well when she showed up at the Classic one of the guys in resistration hollered at me and said the person from PA is here so I walked around to meet them, all I could say was you ant no Murry. ;) ;D ;D ;D Very sweet girl.We
still laugh about that. :) Like others have said, when you do get to meet the folks in person it's like you have known them all you life. :)
Pappy
-
Pappy, thanks again for the hearty invitation; the sort of food I see you guys eating weekend for weekend would be reason enough...not to mention Murry...uhh...Marie... ;D ;D ;D
-
Quit Talking ...and buy the danged Plane Ticket.......... ;D
If I can drive a Car a 1000 miles in half a day....you can sleep on a Plane for that long too....... :P
-
Dang....you guys are getting serious... :o :o :o
-
Well I've met a couple of the Florida folks,Parnell ,Wayne and Mullet. Was in Hillbilly's area last fall during the week of rain and didn't get a chance to meet up.I'd like to meet up with Dana ,we could talk about sinkers and floaters ,for a minute anyway.Would really like to do some knappin' with Jessie and saw filer and the whole knappin'bunch of ya.One of these days I'll have to make it up to Tenn. and see the folks I've been seeing on here and see how ornery you really are.I'm to big to hide in Mullet's suitcase so I reckon I'd have to find my way.

Huhu... I thought you fore sure have enough with just one such hairy thing over there...
-
Don't worry about that there are lots of big hairy boogers at the Classic.
-
Hey Ronnie, I resemble that remark!!! ;)
-
Yea Pat actually I was talking about myself I got about as much hair on my back as you got on your face. :o
-
:o Actually mine has left my head and migrated to my back. ;D Still got a face full though. ;D
-
Yea Pat actually I was talking about myself I got about as much hair on my back as you got on your face. :o
You really didn't need to share that information. :P
-
Justin it does produce some disturbing mental images. ;D
-
The hair on my head is migrating South and taking the route across the shoulder blades as well... ;D
As for who I'd like to meet...
I'm only here a wet week but I've been made feel very welcome by you all. I thank you all for that and wish I could meet you all!!
Perhaps we should organise a dedicated PA Meet some time? I used to be a member of a sword forum and have been to, as well as hosted a few meets/gatherings of the guys from Ireland (North and South) and the UK too.
I'm definitely gonna have to come over for some of the cook-outs/bow-fests that you guys post about!!
-
Justin it does produce some disturbing mental images. ;D
Disturbing?? ?? I'm glad I didn't eat. :o
Hatch, the Tennessee Classic is as close to a dedicated meet as you will find. I think more PA folks go to the Classic than shop at Walmart. ;)
-
Yes it does Cracker, and you said you were coming early ??? ;) ;D Ya HatchA not all but a whole lot of the ones on here regular will be there are have been there,I really don't know how that came about but it has seemed to turn into the PA gathering. :) Here is are adopted German.Justin I can't find my picture of you and the load of logs, what year was that,I thought 07. :)

That group picture must have been before we got all of us together,I know there are a few
missing. :) :)
Pappy
-
Thats last years picture, Justin was there the year before my first year so it had to be 2007.
-
The same year as Marius, so the picture can't be too far.
-
That's 2007, I wasn't in the picture.
-
There you are behind Ryan tillering a bow, image that you are there with Sarah, ;) :)then again right behind Hillbilly and his sweet wife and son, then in the big picture,I think the group is getting better looking every year. :)

I think the group is getting better looking every year. :)
You just wait 'til I get to one of those Gatherings... The group photo's will be banned cos of "good looking content" ;) 8)
-
I think you are right about better looking, Pappy, I made it the next two years. ;) ;D
-
I have been lucky enough to meat a whole bunch of you guys at the classic. I dont think it would be the same without any of the people I met there but Pappy is definitely the keystone that holds it all together. Wish there was more people like him in the world.
I'm looking forward to meeting everyone I didnt get to meet yet.
A few words from experience and some caution---- Hide your staves from the guy with the Michigan plates. O:)
If hillbilly hands you a jug of spring water sip it dont chug :o
If Eddie tries out your bow it better be able to handle a 31" draw ???
Ricktrojanowski can out run you ;)
leave your cat at home. Pat will be there ;D
Bear looks real mean but dont be scared just stand your ground and you'll be fine. Play dead if he comes after you. :D
El D is nice dont worry about him :P.
Greg is a great friend from the day you meet him :)
David knight can teach you a thing or 2 if you listen ;)
Ryano speaks his mind so dont ask if you dont wanna know ;D
If you suck at trading trade with Shannon. He talks himself down on the price. 8)
King Ron has beer :)
I could go on but enough for now :)
-
It sound like you got them pretty much figured out Jesse. ;) ;D ;D ;D
Pappy
