i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for cheap arrows i could by or make for my 100lb longbow, i was thinking mabey just 1/2 inch dowels with home made tips and duct tape fletching( yes i know im cheap and that they wouldnty be the best quality but this is just for target shooting)
thanks

bamboo or tonkin cane, cheap and very durable.

Dowels could work but be very careful with selecting ones with no grain runnoff. If that arrow splinters during release and you catch the business end, you'll be less than pleased. Bamboo - Cane is safer.

thanks for letting my know about the cane option, do you me

I don't know what your budget is other than "cheap"....? I know Surewood Shafts has some 100#-140# douglas fir shafts for sale.

Fishfinder go to homedepot and go to the garden section and get a bundle of bamboo stakes. Usually 5.00 a bundle you get 12 and they can be cut in half as they are 60 inches long. They usually are very straight and strong. I am sure they will fit your needs. Denny
