Hey everyone, I came into lots of yew this past winter. Most of it as standing dead from a fire that came through. The bark is still on 90% of the staves, but a lot of the standing dead have checks in the ssapwood, though there is usually enough Woodford a flatbow. I also have some that were cut live this February. They are much more valuable to me. All are 8' and most can be used whole.
Things I am interested in: other bow woods, arrows, feathers, game calls, fetching jig, and probably many others.
Also I dnot know if this is ok to ask, if not I will remove it, but is there a website people use to sell staves, bows, arrows etc? Is it best to become a sponsor on this site in order to sell?

It's always better to become a sponsor to PA but the big on line site(E***) has bow staves for sale.

Where abouts do you live in Washington?

this is getting confusing- when shofu asked "where are you located?" , I thought he was the OP and asking where I lived, but I realise now he was probably asking the OP where HE lived. Now Wizardgoat is even more confused than us all 'cos he's asking where I live in WA, but he knows Dam well where I live. Meanwhile the OP is silent...

All my obsidian is from Glass buttes area in Oregon. I have some "tri-flow" that is a banded mix of clear black, red, and lace. I have tons of "riley dacite", which is an opaque grey obsidian- less brittle than other obsidian and very nice for knapping. The dacite I have in pieces up to almost 24 inches long. When I send obsidian, it's all "trimmed spalls" no junk. I can also do some large biface preforms- these would have an edge all around and basic cross section up to 12 inches long.
