Title: neo and meseo arrows
Post by: Spotted Dog on July 23, 2015, 04:10:40 pm
What would these have looked like ? Wood and points. I built a Molle and want to build arrows to fit.
Not too good at knapping, but have seen points that look like chisels.

Mollie bows are from Northwestern Europe. You might try Google to see what was appropriate arrows for Mollie bows.

I have done some research. Looks like Hazel shoots maybe. I would assume that red or silky dogwood will work.
Since I live in Missouri. I was looking at the arrows using microliths set into the shafts. Wild looking. But I was
only able to see one end. So I expect the stones were out past the archers hand, or pointed upward not to cut the hand up.
I am going to next week try to cut an elm and dog wood for this task. I do not think I will use stone tools to do much
of the bow , but will on the arrows.
