Sacket, This is an excellent journey through the Tennessee Classic.
Again, your perspective is priceless. 8)

Excellent pics, you have a talent for capturing the essence of the little things that fit together to form the overall experience. It was good meeting you and I sure enjoyed the jam session Thursday night. I have to add just one photo to yours, hope you don't mind:

Mornin' Sir (and ALL),
Meeting you, and your bride, was an honor... and I enjoyed your talent on the guitar VERY MUCH!
...yeah, that's the last time I talk with baby birds. ;D
Have a grand week... look forward to seeing you further on down the Trail.

Great pictures, Sackett. It sure was pleasure meeting you and shooting a round.
Those birds certainly added a nice nuance to under the shed. It was nice hearing them, and neither them nor momma seemed too bothered by us. It was downright Disney.

I was really feeling good about our trip until I found this post. I can't believe I missed you Sackett. And you were just feet away, evidently, when you took a picture of me, Donna (my wife) and Ryano talking. Also because evidently I missed one of my home boys, Danny, who you also got a picture of.
We gotta figure out some kinda way to all meet up at these things. We still had a fantastic time, but I could just kick myself for what we missed.
Great pics. Thanks for posting.
Next time!

What great pictures!! :)

Sorry I missed you, as well, fine sir! Well, it's gettin' on bowfishin' time... COME ON UP! I've got tons of exclusive water (and some monsters).
Again, sorry I missed your company.

I'm tempted Sackett. But my off time is limited. We'll get together eventually. Just be for sure to let me know if you make it over to Lost Tribe again.
I saw your buddy str8shooter and just never put 2 n 2 together or I'd have asked about you.

Great pics!! Makes me feel like I'm back down there.

Well, my heart was kind of sore knowing that I missed the Classic - after looking at these, it's aching. Sorry for the Tennessee rain but I didn't notice a frown in a single picture. Glad everyone had a grand time.
Sackett, glad to see you made it brother. Sorry that I missed you as well, but I have a bow to bring to you upon return from Afghanistan. I got the book and sincerely appreciate it.
May God bless you all.

Mornin' Warrior,
Yessir, missed you much (knowing this is your HOME ground)... had you in mind when I framed this thread (hoped you'd like some of the memory-grabs).
Get Home, let's go bowfishing!
-
awesome pics . hey pappy your gonna have to stick one more pin in that map now. :)
-
Sackett, great pictures!!! That does make me feel like I'm still there. It was great to get to meet you and spend time talking to you Sunday morning. Thanks for autographing my book. I've yet to get started reading due to trying to catch up here at home. Again, thanks for the stroll down Classic Lane.

Ranger B- That was my first classic, and my first time in TN. I can't say enough about all the fine people I met, and what a great time it was. Rain or shine it was the best time I've had in a long while. I hope I can make it next year.
-
Jimmy, Sure missed not seeing you there. Stay safe, Bud. And you were right about all the grins and smiles. My neck and jaw was sore on the drive home from all the laughing I did.
-
I am so hungry, got used to eating all that good food at the classic, now I am back at home making bows and eating bologna, though I did put on a pot of beans this evening ;D
-
Just got a call from Joe York, he told me what a great time he and Eloise had and what wonderful people he met at the classics. I am making it a point to try and make it next year.. because the really nice people he described don't sound at all like the bunch on this site ;) ;) ;D might as well check it out for myself. ;) Hawk
-
Mike, I really enjoyed Joe and Eloise. Eloise wanted my blueberry cobbler recipe and just talking to both of them was a pleasure. Very fine folks and they fit right in as I know you would.
-
just awesome, wanna get there someday
-
Hawkbow,
Was that the fine folk from the Cody valley area, who own the Rockin'R?
If so, I was fortunate enough to meet them right after they arrived, and make their acquaintance over the days there. They went so far as to look me up right before I left on Sunday, and give me the gift of a mug (love it...) showing the local brands from area ranches, including their own.
Good folk.

Nice folks!
-
I was thinking of you Jimmy, wish you could have been here!
Stay safe, and be sure to check out the toilet for cobra's before doing your business! ;D
-
Here's a picture RangerB sent me a week or so ago of an unexpected surprise in the latrine!

Thanks to Pappy (Mark), Twin Oaks, and all who made the Twin Oaks Classic a great event. It was our first.

At first glance I didn't know what was in that toilet. :o Both options were pretty darn scary.
-
Hawk, It was great meeting Joe and his very nice wife. And man , he can knap some points. Joe pulled them out Sunday morning and I wanted to go over all of them , but I had to pack and hit the road too early. His points of Washington state rock are museum quality, Ishi would be asking for lessons. I know how hard some of that raw agate is.
Oh yea, he invited me to your place to get my Merriam, ;D
-
Gotta talk with Joe again to get some more directions to those cherts he used to make those purdy points of his! Wow! They were great!!!
