thanks guys i made the arrows too for the bow. i am ready to start the osage steve. i got it down to one ring now i have it by my fire to dry before bending it.(its rainy outside this week)   did i mention the ash bow has 28  :o  yes 28 holes from worms in it. they go right through the limbs. i saw them when floor tillering and said what the heck if it blows up in my face its a learning experience  ::).  i am calling it worm hole i think. any creative names on your part.  anyways are there any tips for spining arrows for such a thick handle, the arrow  when in resting position is deflected like 3 inches at the tip from the handle shoul i spine them lower to let it pardoxx better. 45 punds at 28 inches

thanks guys

28 bug chewed holes completely through the limb?  Does the limb look like lace?

Amazing what some guys will do to reduce the drag of a bow limb pushing through the atmosphere.   I guess that would be 'arrow-dynamic' .  Does it whistle when ya shoot it?

Cool, maybe I shouldn't have thrown out some of my hickory that has worm holes in it. I also didn't realize that ash stave had bug holes in it or I wouldn't have sent it to you.:o I'll send you another one that doesn't have a community living in it. :)

Didja complete the entire Environmental Assessment, the Environmental Impact Statement, and Potential Damage Mitigation Reports when you disrupted that microecosystem and evicted that entire colony of microfauna (i.e. the bugs) in order to build the bow?  What a shocking loss of habitat, shocking I say!  Speaking of which, any hand shock? ;)

ya there is a little handshock, that i am not use to what is that from? steve there is no need to send another stave. your too generous. if anything it was a learning experience and i really like it with the holes in it. it makes me feel special :P   thanks again for the staves. how did that rock work for you. i know its tuff stuff.

Mitch, I haven't had a chance to beat on it much, whacked one point out of it. It's tough. :)

Could be several things that cause the handshock, going to a heavier arrow is the quick and easy way to soak up all the extra energy the bow is shooting back up your arm.
