I forgot to mention that this bow is a llittle asimetrical, the arrows passes 1" above the true center of the bow.....becose of that the top limb looks a little bit longer....
-
that looks pretty nice, lots of recurves this month. gonna be a tough month for bom insnt it. very nice job. Ryan
-
like usuall another beauty there akila 8)
i love the wood grain orientaion on the belly side, simply wonderfull
being the arrow pass is one inch over center, shouldnt that make the upper limb look a little shorter?
i could be wrong, but yes it does look longer. doesnt matter though, i still like the bow
peace,
tim

HI....the handle area is measured like this....3" down the center and 1 " above the center....so, this way, the upper limb is a little bit longer then the top limb....the fade from the top limb is a little bit longer....
-
Thats a really nice looking bow, Akila. I like the dye job. What did you use for stain?
-
Very nice, another contender for BOM
-
Shooting at light bulbs is always fun, eh?
Cool bow. Reminds me of a yumi. ;D
-
Looks real nice there Akila. I also like the dye. Is it red mahogany?
-
Hi guys....thks a lot for your replays....the dye is some natural solution , water based.....and the limbs are black, and in the handle area , i used some red dye....they call it " rose" colore.....i think its ben called like that, beose this colore is exactly like roses petals....
-
I do like it - a lot! Is the upper limb longer than the lower?
-
Nice looking bow how long is it?
-
slick lookin- bow man, how'd you go about staining the beauty? great work, -jimmy
-
Very nice bow Akila. 8) Pat
-
Good job on that one! Nice finish as well. Steve
-
Looks like you really did justice to deserving wood. Very nice and bookmarked for November Self Bow of the Month.
-
The fades look spectacular in that light. Great looking bow. It looks like an assymetrical tiller. Am I correct? Danny
-
Beautiful bow ,great job on that one,bet it is a sweet shooter. :)
Pappy
-
Very nice bow. Well done and congrats on the recurve.
-
Yess the tiller is asimetrical.....the arrow pases 1" above the true center of the bow...this is why it looks like the upper limb is longer thenn the lower limb....thks again for your compliments....the photos are not so gr8....the bow looks much better in reality thenn in those pictures.... i realy like making this recurves bows....they have a certain elegance...
