Title: Bowfishing points

Anyone got any pics of tradepoints/homemade bowfishing points to give me some ideas??  Just lookin to make some this winter so im ready next spring/summer

same here. i bowfished all summer with storebought stuff. id like to see the homemade side of things.

Mechslasher made up a couple primitive fish arrows last year with cane shaft and antler points. Pretty cool. I think antler or wood would be the way to go with primitive fish points.

against gator gar? wouldnt they break or smash?

  I've made them out of deer leg bone and shot Gar with them.

heres an authentic socketed antler point I dug up. This site I find antler handles and bones pins and a broken antler atlatl weight and all part sof the deer in different stages of manufactor

I use trade points Ive made,file  a couple of serrations on each side, put it in a cane shaft,and let er rip tater chip.

Chris, I've got it almost finished, needs a couple more paragraphs and cleaning up. Just getting to writing season now, I do most of my writing in the winter.

i like that one. can you push it through and take it off to remove the arrow? or take off your string and pull the arra al the way through or what?

     You need to get Mullet trade you a triangular stone head.  By trianagular, I mean it has three sides.  Eddie put one in a hogs brain.  Should push some hard scales aside.
