Post by: ilcoalminer on May 24, 2010, 10:25:26 pm
arrow hello again gentlemen. ok so i have my ash stave cut and the back i have debarked and the belly has had the sap wood removed. i was wanting to know if the arrow is placed then fired from the center of the bow or a few cm up so you hand is at the center?

i assume the arrow should be held at dead center but i dont wanna make an a** out of myself so i thought i'd ask i'll post some pics of the progress latter.

thanks guys

Just spent the evening putting a handle binding on an ELB I've retillered.   The normal proportions are for the grip to extend 1.5" about the centre line and 3" below.  I've kept more or less the same propotions in marking the arrow pass on my bows tillered to work through the handle, someties a bit less maybe 1.25" above centre line.  The warbow style of course doesn't have a grip, just a mark where the arrow pass should be.
