We had a thread going last year where you could post your trail camera pictures. I thought I would start a new one for this year. Please post any interesting pictures you get off your cameras.
I finally got my camera out and since I was in the area today I swapped the card out. I got a coyote with a catch in its mouth.
I put out a small pile of grain in front of the camera. The stupid coyote decided to pee on it. I thought it would keep the deer away but there was doe eating the grain less than 20 minutes later.

This is great, I loved this thread last year. Great to see what's walking around on everyone's hunting spots.
-
Proof there's something there besides coon >:D
-
Chupacabra! >:D
I liked this thread also Clint. My son is wanting to put up a camera near his stand so may have to invest in one. Will add pics if we get one.
Tracy
-
That's a skinny, scruffy looking coyote there Outlaw. Hope your deer look better!!
-
Thought it was a Chupacabra for a second. Cool pics!
-
Yote didn't waist any time scarfing that down...Summer coat but a big belly...
-
I like. Will be watching the post here!
Thanks guys.
Zuma
-
I might have to put mine back out after I get back home. Hard to believe huntin season is so close again!
-
I guess some deer just like a little urine marinade
-
4 out of 5 deer prefer Wile E. Whizz brand cracked corn!
-
Good idea for a thread. I don't have a camera but will enjoy looking at your photos.
-
My dad has a trail cam, I'll get some photos off him and post them for you guys to check out :)
-
Please do. I enjoy seeing what everyone else has in their area. I get quite a few coyote pictures. That was the first time I have seen one with something in its mouth.
Bubby, I'm going to need some more peanut butter and .22's for the racoons ;)
-
nothin is more fun than a10/22 and a feeder with coon around it at night...pop pop!!
-
JW - That was ACME brand cracked corn O:). Bob
-
i guees ya missed the "anvil" fall pic!!! lmbo!
-
The coyote was back and this time it had a fawn leg in its mouth. That's not good at all.
A couple of toms that outsmarted my brother in law this spring
(http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r55/clintanders/Bows%202014/MFDC1309.jpg)
And a nice looking buck with a potbelly.
-
I pulled my camera yesterday after 2 weeks near my garden. I must have forgotten to turn it on because there was only one pic...me removing the camera. ;D
-
I know a guy that can get rid of that coyote for a small fortune. . .I mean a small fee
-
I as well enjoyed this post last year, glad to see it. Thanks Osage. I have some good ones so far this year several deer, elk, some bobcat, coyote and not sure what else. The cam had 6,027 photos in two months and 553 in one week and I'm not even close to sorting them all out. These are from my salt lick cam and I think my most interesting so far. my son and I have identified 4 non typical right beam bulls all smaller these two are the biggest. First two pics. same bull.
-
Sorry Outlaw, in those pics that bowsandroses posted, his deer looks a lot bigger than yours. :'( :'(
-
Its OK Greg. I was thinking the same thing.
Great photos B&R. Thanks for posting them.
-
Great idea. I love it.
Can you give us a bit of description of the area?
-
Its the yellow dot in the corner of the field
(http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r55/clintanders/Bows%202014/map1-1.png)
-
think i figured out why the hogs quit coming to the feeder...and will keep deer away too...grrrrr!
-
Three dogs not 4 dogs >:D
Tracy
-
this might rub some wrong...but they are a wild pack and endangered....nothing is coming around that feeder while they are checking it out anf peein all over it...they gotta go...homeowner has asked neigbors ..noone owns em...soooo...gotta go.
-
Good luck with your stray problem 4dog. I've had to do the same thing when they were attacking our livestock.
A nice bachelor group walked by the other morning.
The one in the back has a split tine. That is the best picture I got of it. It stayed behind the other buck and kept its head down as it crossed the opening.
-
Nice whitetails Clint ! I live on the wrong side of the state :D
Tracy
-
Great photos. Keep them coming.
Monroe
-
I love the trail cam photos. Keep em coming. Those look like some nice deer Clint.

I am a dog owner and an advocate for humane treatment of all animals. That being said, I can tell you that wild dogs often have difficult lives and being taken out of the environment is often a kindness to them. It's also good for livestock and wildlife, feral dogs are certainly not something needed in the mix.
-
Well said, John. Exactly how I see it.
-
If they don't have collars and in a pack they need to be eliminated if possible.
-
my thoughts too...but was still kind of ducking...they havent been back so hopefully they moved on...found homes....or someone got em...anyway if it seemed i was lookin foreward to taking them out...i wasnt...and now more trail pics guys!!!!
-
I'm a dog person! My dogs have never had a reason to leave home but could if they wanted.
When feral dogs pack they can be dangerous like any other canines. They have to be controlled and a bullet is the most humane method.
-
Some young ugly turkeys
(http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r55/clintanders/Bows%202014/MFDC0139-1.jpg)
This small buck seems to have some scars on the back of its neck and a long scar down its side. I'm kind of curious as to what caused that.
-
Hmm. Maybe he got in a scrap with another buck. Or, he got lucky when someone cut loose on him. The world may never know >:D Cool pics.
-
My kids driving my Dad's utility truck. They never even saw it.
-
That's a great pic. Just goes to show how close we get sometimes and think we are hunting a "dry hole"
-
You have some nice deer on the farm Clint and an abundance of turkeys it looks like as well, hunters paradise there.
I bet you have a trail cam pic. of a monster non-typical your not showing us for fear of one of us sneaking over there this fall . >:D
Good pics buddy, keep 'em coming, I love seeing this stuff.
-
They look pretty close to the buck too! Very cool pics Clint .
Tracy
-
feral dog or not...it sucks to put one down...last night was on the stand goin after coons...hit one and those 3strays came in for the dinner bell just like yotes do it...two more to go...no pi s comi.g of this though..... :-\
-
I just checked the trail cam I set up on the salt lick. It has been slow this summer around the lick with just a few pics of Flossie and her yearlings, not even a fawn pic. But, today I got lucky. The first buck of the year(probably Flossie's last year fawn) and a few more interesting pics as well...

-
That looks like a bruiser of a bear Pat. Cool coyote picture to. I pulled my card today. Got mostly the same thing I have been seeing. I thought this was a neat picture
(http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r55/clintanders/Bows%202014/MFDC0330.jpg)
-
That looks like a Walt Disney pic, Clint. You don't often see a mature buck and a spotted fawn together.
Clint, I think that was the guy stealing the hummingbird water a few weeks ago.
-
Very nice pics Pat! Yogi burgers are great!
Nice pic Clint! Looks like a father/son moment- not really ;D
Tracy
-
Well it isn't a trail cam but this is half (and I do mean half) of the bucks that come through my back yard every other day
Sorry the picture is blurry it contains eight or so bucks all but two of which are eight points one being a four point spike and the other a seven point
-
Now that I have a trailcam, I can participate in this thread!! Caught these up at my buddies house near North Bay, ON.
That deer doesn't look too healthy.
-
Nice moose! I would love to see a moose in the wild some day.
I pulled the card today.
This buck has nice mass for being so young. I'm anxious to see what he looks like in a few years.
A coyote on the run
(http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r55/clintanders/Bows%202014/MFDC1026.jpg)
And a bobcat with what looks like a rabbit for lunch.
-
Great pictures, Clint. I need to get Chris Cade to post his. He sent me some this morning, one with the black coyote that ran past where I was sitting last Thanksgiving.
-
Try and post them Mullet. I would like to see the black coyote.
The more I look at that picture it almost looks like it might be a kitten in its mouth. Hard to tell what it is. It has a potbelly. I don't think wild rabbits have much of a potbelly.
-
Great pics Clint.......
DBar
-
Here is a closer look at the bobcat picture. What do you guys think it is?
-
If you look closely at the back left paw you can see the elongated foot pad of the rabbit. Also the front feet are rabbit shaped and without the grasping fingers of a squirrel. So, I'm going with rabbit.
-
that things got short ears and the face is different than a rabbit
-
Yea, I see the short ears and cat or puppy shaped nose.
-
Maybe a Gopher and possibly pregnant or has been eating well.
-
Cool picture either way! 8)
-
Baby Bobcat?
-
Looks like a pregnant bunny to me. The ears are folded forward where the cat has gripped it from the back of the neck...
-
I got another picture of the bobcat. It has another meal and its easy to see what it is this time.
-
She's probably hauling them to her nest and kits. cool pics, Clint. Looks like a good hunting spot too.
-
That's so cool.
-
That's what we thought Pat. She must have some babies somewhere in the valley on the left side of the field.
Greg, maybe you can help me look for them in a couple of weeks ;D
-
Cool bobcat pics Clint! Especially for a state that doesn't normally see them. Looks like a cottontail and not young. Young would have larger feet and probably too large to carry around this late in the summer. I'm up for a little poking around for a den ;)
Tracy
-
That's what we thought Pat. She must have some babies somewhere in the valley on the left side of the field.
Greg, maybe you can help me look for them in a couple of weeks ;D
Count me in!!

Got a picture of a spike with some tine length ;D
(http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r55/clintanders/Bows%202014/MFDC0431.jpg)
-
That 1 1/2yo deer sure has potential for a trophy sized rack in about 5 years.
-
I just retrieved the card fro my camera and looks like Bozo(my wife named him) is still around. The other pic is a Japanese hornet I think.
(http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y199/PatBNC/015_zpsb7959fd6.jpg) (http://s5.photobucket.com/user/PatBNC/media/015_zpsb7959fd6.jpg.html)

-
That's a cool hornet picture Pat. I think that bear needs an arrow >:D
-
Hornet pic is the first I've seen. Cool! Bear looks healthy.
-
Moth man pic >:D that bear is very photogenic Pat.
Tracy
-
I am unsure what that bear is doing in that picture, but I am fairly sure he is either taking a dump or mooning Pat.
In either case, it appears to be an escalation of the hostilities. At the very least, a sign of declining respect for the homeowner!
-
here are some pics from my trailcams so far this year. got the black yote at the top of the hit list. second pic is my bearded hen. third is of the three gobblers mullet put out of their misery this past spring. forth and fifth, you see how much this buck has grown in a month. sixth is of my twins.
-
here are a few more pics. the does and buck are at a huge mineral lick I have.
-
Awesome pictures. Thanks for posting them. I hope you get that black coyote. I've never seen one like that before.
-
Me thinks that "Yote" has a lot of Dog in it. Bob
-
i've seen a couple other black yotes around my area. one was about the size of a german shepard. saw him trotting across a hay field one afternoon.
-
Are the pigs at your farm, Chris?
-
yep, they invaded back in jan. in full force. we'll have a mixed bag of hunting on the farm this year. now all i need is the elusive black panther that everybody see's but me and a few bears.
-
I know them pigs are bad on property but danged if that aint my dream hunt.... Brian
-
Pat, that yote is the one I told you ran past me that afternoon all of the coyotes were eating my Doe behind you on the ridge. I couldn't get a shot at him.
-
I've only seen one coyote while hunting and it was solid black. That was in GA. I asked a biologist about it and he said they can be black, white or anywhere in between.
-
here's a "regular" yote on the same trail.
-
Checked and moved my camera this afternoon. There were 57 pic on the card but only this one...
(http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y199/PatBNC/trailcam041_zps061b6b1b.jpg) (http://s5.photobucket.com/user/PatBNC/media/trailcam041_zps061b6b1b.jpg.html)
...and just a few minutes later this! Don't look like a deer butt to me.
(http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y199/PatBNC/trailcam042_zps54e9101a.jpg) (http://s5.photobucket.com/user/PatBNC/media/trailcam042_zps54e9101a.jpg.html)
-
Looks like a bear rump to me.
-
He sure likes showing you his bum Pat.
-
I set the camera up on our blue berry patch about 2 weeks ago and this is the only memorable pic I got.
(http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y199/PatBNC/Trailcamblueberrypatch003_zps7f038dd9.jpg) (http://s5.photobucket.com/user/PatBNC/media/Trailcamblueberrypatch003_zps7f038dd9.jpg.html)
-
What is that on the left Pat? Looks like a baby seal flying out of that bush, just a little odd. ;D
-
Hummingbird.
-
Oh, now I see. Man I had the magnifying glass out to study that one, thought it was in the bush in the backround when it is actually closer to the camera.
Don't take much to dupe me.
-
Me too Greg! I was looking for yogi in the brush on the left. :o
Cool pic!
Tracy
-
Got the first hard antler picture of our big buck
(http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r55/clintanders/Bows%202014/MFDC0065.jpg)
-
....nice buck ! ,,,,,, you've got a real nice place Clint.
DBar
-
Clint, call me. I'll be over on opening day to help ya drag him out of the woods.... or vice/versa. ;D ;D
-
Thanks Bill
Greg, I think me and my Dad will be drawing straws to see who hunts that field on opening day
-
Never have done trail cams before but Beau wanted to give them a try,got lots of pictures in the last couple of week at 2 stand set up. 120 at one site and 70+ at the other. Here are a few. I pretty nice 8 looks like and just maybe the 7 I have been looking for the last few years. ;) ;D ;D The date and time is wrong on the bigger deer, just figured out how to set it Saturday, high tec red necks, yes we are. :) :) :)
Pappy
-
Nice pics Pappy! Know what you mean, my 14 yr old son wants me to invest in a few too. Suppose it would be a fun thing to do together. I always like the element of surprise :)
Clint, is that the area your dad just planted? Very nice deer!
Tracy
-
Yep me to Tracy. :) :)
Pappy
-
Tracy, Yes it is ;D
Pappy, nice pictures. That one buck has some good tine length. Have fun with the trail camera.
-
Clint, how much is an Indiana non-resident tag?
-
Clint, how much is an Indiana non-resident tag?
Greg, the Tennessee spine shot is illegal in the Hoosier state >:D
Tracy
-
Our deer tend to duck a few inches at the shot Greg. I'm not sure you would get much value for a tag ;D
-
Clint you and Tracy are killing me but him and his boy did love that spine shoot lol but if I remember right Tracy was getting good at it too >:D
-
I love the spine shot,no tracking. ;) :) :) Broke many down righ under the tree at about 3 yards. :)
Pappy
-
Haaa haaa ha! I had already forgotten about that! Just paint a dot on it for me and I'll be ok. ;)
-
Well not a trail cam but a digi cam. These bruisers have been hanging around with about a bakers dozen does. Wish it were archery season or I had a tag. These guys will probably go totally nocturnal come hunting season. But I'll give em hell 8)

weve had a long drought.its been hard on em..but this year weve made up for it a bit...deer look better.
-
Nice buck 4dog. I'm guessing the fence is to keep the hogs out?
-
Not to bad, this is the other side of the road beside Beau's stand, looks like a decent 8. ;) Like most of yall know ,we ant trophy hunters so this one would do nicely. :) :) Just need to come in a hour or so later.
Pappy
-
Looks like this doe has mastitis or some other problem. I have pictures of other milk producing does and they don't look anything like this one. Something is going on with her.

Agree on the mastitis.. I'm sure it's painful until it starts breaking up. You guys are getting some good pics.
Tracy
-
Just checked my trail cam. There were a few of Flossy and the kids as always but also these guys. This coyote looks pretty good to me ...
peeing on my tree, how dare he.

Not trail camera pics but thought I would share them. My wife sent me these pictures today while I was at work. I want to know how have they figured out my work schedule?

Pappy
There is nothing more aggravating than sitting in a stand seeing nothing and have the wife text you pictures of deer in the yard (http://rabbittalk.com/images/smilies/icon_rant.gif)
-
Yep and it happens pretty regular at my house,I think she get a kick out of doing that to me. :) :)
Pappy
-
Mine does to Pappy.
-
Yeah they are probably calling the other wives and just laughing their heads off, "that damn fool husband of mine is sitting in a tree all day while its clear the deer just moved out of the woods to avoid him". ;D ;D ;D
-
Are you Sure those aren't the free roaming bunnies that all have the same name? >:D. They actually look like that group around the bend from you that would not get out of my way :D
Tracy
-
Are you Sure those aren't the free roaming bunnies that all have the same name? >:D. They actually look like that group around the bend from you that would not get out of my way :D
Tracy
Tracy, The bunnies are named Fred. And they have all wondered off. It could be the same group of deer that you saw. We have a couple sets of twins around here.
-
1st is one from Michael's Trail cam he has on my farm, right above the shop on the practice range,I think it is one of them elusive Notail deer ??? ;) ;D ;D the last 3 came from a good friends farm 8 mile north of me and the other side of the interstate,he always has some nice deer on his farm. :)
He Killed one about like the 12 in the last picture 6 or 7 years ago, looks almost the same. Cool.
Pappy
-
Pappy, I must be lucky. I saw that same elusive "no-tail" deer on several occasions at Twin Oaks.
-
Those are some great looking bucks Pappy. I've got a few dog pictures on my camera to. One of them is our fat little house dog that decided to go exploring one day.
-
He is still nocturnal. Looks like he is getting a thicker neck. It won't be long

I thought I would get in on these trail cam pics.

There's a SQUATCH in these woods.
-
I just checked my trail cam....the date is wrong, I'm going to have to fix it the next time out . I'm finally, after recovering from a torn quad, going to be hunting this area a lot in the next three weeks. I would love to stick one of these this year. only problem is, I have not got a daytime pic of either one. Just some doe and a small eight. I've been hunting this area for about 15 years, three years ago we did some timber cutting, and the last two years has been the best hunting I seen in a long time.
DBar
-
Nice looking bucks Bill. I'm not getting any daytime buck pictures either. Give it a couple of weeks and that should change. Glad to hear your leg is healing. Good luck this fall.
-
Thanx Clint! good luck to you too, but you've got meat in the freezer all ready. :) ;) I just need to get in gear..... :)
DBar
-
Sorry to hear about the leg Bill! Nice pictures all
Tracy
-
I grabbed the card out of the trail cam on my way out of the woods tonight. I got a few good pictures.
This buck is starting up the scrape that is under the cedar tree each year. Its the first time this buck has shown up on camera.

The big buck had to see who is in his yard

The bobcat made another appearance

These two don't belong to anybody I know. This is the second time I have got pictures of them. I caught the hound in my yard a while back. It has a collar but no information on it.

Nice swamp pictures.

I am really loving these photos, folks. The variety of critters getting snapped is pretty cool, too. Yeah, horns are the main event, but the other stuff is nice, too!
I finally set a game cam out on a nice spot. First night out and I got a 3x3 sniffing the lense!

Couple does at various times thru the day, all of them seem to want to sniff the cam. I even got a photo of a wheelie bow walking by while looking into the lense. Glad I put a cable lock on the camera!

JW, that 3x3 looks like it could use a POC arrow ;D Sorry, couldn't resist.
-
I am thinking some smart ash arrows....FOR YOU! This little guy needs to do some growing!
-
Looks like he needs a little education too. ;D
-
There are also some photos of "slicks" peeking into the lens, too. Come the rut, those slickhead does will be the brains of the outfits!

Here are a couple more from my buddies mineral lick, I think that is 5 or 6 really nice ones at his place, He has been trying to get me to come over and hunt, I'm just to tight to by License. ;) ;D ;D one of these is what dreams are made of. :) His farm is only about 8 miles form mine, I told him to shew them my way. ;) :)

WOW! That's a monster Pappy. You should be able to round up enough guys to do an 8 mile deer drive ;D
I swapped cards on my way out of the woods today. Got a few good pics. A new 9 point buck showed up to work the scrape. The next day a young buck marked it as his. Still no day time pictures of mature bucks. Should be any day now. The bobcat made a night appearance.

My Dad put his camera out in his yard. For some reason they cross through there at night on their way to the pond. Looks like this buck is starting to chase the doe around. For you guys who have been to the house that's where we shot the deer target off of the deck.

Twice this year I have had an owl swoop down and land above me while I was packing stuff up to head in at dark. One was a small owl and the other was a big fat one like this guy.

This is the first picture of a mature buck in the day time since they have shed their velvet.

Me and my brother just stuck our's out tonight
Scouted out a heavy used trail and just need to get a look at how big they are and be sure they are using it during hunting hours. We seen 3 doe out on one of the entering trails so its a good sign. Our spot should be a nice funnel to a feeding and watering spot.

Before and after. ;) :) :) :)
