Title: Yew flatbow with a little character

Here is this longbow of 68", 48# @ 29". draws smoothly to 30". That is a 30" back of point arrow in the full draw pic.
A little outer limb reflex. A bit kinky in the lower limb makes for an odd bend at brace. It feels very balanced, smooth, and fast when taking all she has to give. Inlay strikeplate is reclaimed ivory from some old piano keys. Thanks Snag! Tip overlays are water buff. Cane grip wrap. French polish finish. Needed some better lighting for photos, but had to get this one on its way to Michigan, so here it is.

Nice bow Carson. That is a great looking full draw. Looks to me like we got a few more

I like that one. I need to try that rattan wrap. I like it a lot on a yew bow. Seems to be the perfect fit.

Chris, I like the rattan for many reasons, one is that it is about the easiest handle option to do, once you have done it a couple times. Let me know if you want some. I have lots in stock. Narrow and wide.  This one pictured, being the wide.


Very Busy Beadman. Several more bows nearing completion.  :)

Sweet! The tiller is real nice to look at on that one. The tips on the recurve I'm working on will look really similar to those.

Very nice Carson. Looks like a tricky one to tiller with the character but it looks like nothing but smooth at full draw to me.

Thanks for the nice comments guys.  It is nice to be finishing bows again. I had to devote a lot of time to moving into and setting up the new shop this winter. Still a lot of work ahead on the shop, but nice to finally have some room to work and some tools in their right place. Hope to be posting more bows soon.
