Hey everyone,
Just finished up this bow. Its my first molle and i must say that I am impressed with this design. It shoots hard and fast and looks pretty sick too. Can't wait to take to my local gun/archey range to show it to some compound folks. ;D Anyway heres the stats. (Sorry my crappy pics don't do it justice)
60" n2n
45#@28"
Working Limbs are 2" wide and 14" long
Levers are 3/4" tapering to 3/8" with pin nocks and are 12" long not including the fade.
It took about 5/8" set (measured at the end of working limb)
Handle is just simple leather and I shoot off my hand.

Here's some more pics.....

WOW that is Excellent! well done! The compound guys arent gonna know what hit em when they see that thing driving tacks ;D
-
cool bow, I love molly's, great shooters, what wood did ya use, Bub
-
Very clean work, with perfect tiller.
Great work for a first , schould be the 100. too.
-
Beautiful bow !! full draw is perfect, fine craftmanship
-
Thanks Guys..... Can't wait to see the looks on on some of the wheelie shooters when they see this.
Bub the wood is red oak finished with light brown leather dye and 8 coats of tru oil. My goal is to prove that though many beginers use red oak, you can build just about any bow style from it as well as long as your careful.
-
VERY NICE! I'm going to have to try red oak sometime.
-
Perfection captured. VERY nie job!!!
-
Seen a few Mollegabets Ifrit and that one's a beauty, simply outstanding, sir !!!!!

Wow. Excellent Molly representation! Design and tiller look awesome and so does the finish. What wood is it?
-
Sweet ;)

You did a excellent job. That is a fine looking bow and the tiller looks very nice. I like the finish you put on it. It shows the wood very nicely.

Thanks everyone... Ryoon the wood is red oak finished with light brown leather dye and 8 coats of tru oil.

Awesome, that is a great looking bow.
-
perfect in every way. love the full draw shot. just really cool

nice bow, i love the molle design and i am shooting an osage molle right now, 57 tip to tip and 59 pounds at 28 inches, they are excellent fast smooth and ultra quiet shooters, i shot mine at cloverdale, p'catewah posetha(black cat) has over 500 shots on it. let us know how the wheelie guys like the molle, at cloverdale there were alot of people that didnt have a clue as to what kind/style of bow it was. beautiful bow, you will be very pleased with it, i have made many bows out of red oak, the seceret is grain, grain, and grain.
-
I really like this bow. good job! when I cut the straightest 66" piece out of a red oak board i recently purchased, i was a bit scared to make anything but a dbow. after seeing this unbacked beauty which has such short sections of bending wood, I think I'm going to try to do it as an unbacked flatbow. that'll be stretching my tillering skills. thanks for inspiring my confidence in red oak!
-
you have a very beautiful finish on that bow, red oak is nice wood, the molle design is a low brace heigth design and any bow that is lower in brace heigth will put much less stress on the limbs and make for a long lasting bow.if that molle was in the bow of the month id already be voting for yours. nice work.
-
Thats a beauty, i have to make a molly soon.
The tiller and finish are both perfect.
-
Sorry guys I must have locked this by accident.. ?? ;D
Thanks again everyone...
Colt glad I could inspire ya... Red oak really is pretty good, and as long as the grain is good, there is no reason you have to back it...
-
Unbelievable!!! Did you follow a blueprint or design one yourself?? Im just in awe! ;D

Thanks! The bow is based on an ancient design... I'm no expert on them though... Halfeye(rich) is probably the expert on them.
-
Is that because Rich is ANCIENT or just cause he's good at making em? >:D
-
Great looking bow. Love the finish on it.

-
hey ifrit you may only be a young man, but i would shoot/hunt with one of your bows anyday man, you have more skills than you realize. keep on building bows, but realize you will break perfectly good looking bows and it may be discouraging but learn from them we all have.
-
Thanks man.. Ive only broken 2 so far and hopefully have learned from those failures and this ones still shooting strong... (knock on wood) :)
