Title: old sinew backed bow.
Post by: jignfrog on April 30, 2007, 12:37:28 am
Here are some pictures I took of a bow that a friend of mine has. It is from Arizona. My friends greatgrandfather found them in a barrel in an old store building. He found a few of them but this is the only one my friend had. It is sinewbacked around 48 inchs. It has a partial twisted sinew string attached. I couldn't tell what wood it was made of. But it was really neat to have that bow in my hand. I just wished I knew more about it. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

That is cool. That is an extreme profile isn't it. Justin

Thanks guys

I wished I had taken close ups. The sinew work and workmanship isn't really shown that well in the picture.
