So this was my first go at making a laminate bow.
64" TtT
42# @ 29"
1 1/2" wide limbs tapering to 1/2" tips
Bamboo from Carson (.125")
Maple core (.125")
Padauk power lam, 18" long (.200" @ center, tapering out to .000")
Ipe belly (.250")
Maple riser with padauk accents
Buffalo horn tips
Glued with Unibond 800
4 coats Tru Oil lightly scuffed, then Johnson's paste wax
This bow was also my first attempt at a R/D profile, which was a little challenging. I don't feel like the tiller is perfect, but it was shooting well and I was already a couple pounds under my target weight thanks to a silly tillering mistake. Probably the fastest bow I have built to date. I have a sister to this one that I am ready to tiller now, so any tiller critiques are welcome.

That bow is a looker alright! :)

That will be a nice target bow for years to come! Great glue lines and overlay transitions; stunning work all around!

Thanks guys

That is sick man very cool
-
Very nice looking bow!
-
Spiffy looking weapon!
Am so jealous of you fellows that are successful makin' laminated bows.

That's a beauty, love the wood contrast. :)

Thats a beauty!!

Regarding the fact that this is your first try making a laminate bow, the result is amazing! Taking this fact aside...it still is!
I m also going to build my first laminate bow soon, I m happy if the result is half as good as yours! :)
-
Beautifully done! Funny how it seems these bows aren't as commonly built as they were years back. My allergies aren't much for Ipe dust anymore. Bet that shoots great.
-
It's a lovely bow.
The background is a distraction in the full draw but from what I can see comparing the braced profile to the full draw is that your upper limb bends just a hair too much mid limb and the lower limb is a bit too stiff overall. The lower limb does have a nice smooth bend to it though

Beautiful....Nice planning and execution.Very nice bow.
-
Thank you all. I agree Marc, the lower limb does look much better than the upper.

She's a beauty! The wood contrast is quite appealing to the eye. Josh
