Title: pike limbs

i keep hearing people talk about piking limbs to strenthen the bow or raise poundage, i have no idea what that means and did not find it other posts.  could someone please explain what and how to?

It is simply cutting length off the limb tips.  By decreasing the length it increases the weight.  Justin

oh ok, i thought yall were inserting something into the limbs to beef em up.  i got ya now.  thanks, im understanding all previous conversations now  ;D

no doubt, i wouldn't be happily missing squerrils with a piece of hick and boo without this place  ;D  they are tough to hit with this many leaves ???
