That was a good time at the first New River Knap-in, in Fries Virginia. Got to meet some new folks and break some rock. Rainy weather put a damper on it but still went great. Wish I had taken pictures.
-
The lodge and meals were fantastic. Dinner was served right in the pavillion.
Here is our host Bob and his pup Jackson. Ed came on down too.
-
You always know when James Parker is around when you hear his dogwood baseball bats hitting Man Rock(rhyolite) :-K
-
You're right about that Pat, we came to an agreement that we would rather work rhyolite than most rocks. I guess it is in the challenge.
-
Hahaha, James tried to sell me on using wood....I told him I wouldn't convert based on the noise alone! haha. Fun looking event.
-
Pat it would have been good to see you there. Maybe this fall?
Here are some of Rex's awesome chippings. Jame's bows and
atatal rigs were super cool. Rebekha and the children were a
pleasant addition to the event.
