That's the kind of weather we've had, lately and it got me motivated to finish up this bow. It's Osage I picked up at the Classic two years ago from Mr. McGuire and is 56" tip to tip. I wasn't sure how this bow was going to turn out because I bent some long tips in it when I started, just to see how it would shoot with them and I can say for as light as it is in weight it still spits an arrow with a pretty good thump. I had planned to sinew back this one but decided to just go with a self bow instead.
It is 38# @ 27"Beaver tail grip that was a real pain in the butt putting on. Also has cow horn tips and Western Diamond back skins

That turned out great Mullet.

Looks like a nice shooter! I really like that side profile. Cheers- Brendan
-
Man those limbs sure are working, looks great!
-
Great looking bow looks like it would be a fast shooter for low weight bow
-
Sweet Eddie , nice job on that one. Pappy
-
That came out nice !!
-
At that weight, it shouldn't wear a man down if he had to shoot all day long! Looks like that one is good to go!
-
Came out real pretty. Man those recurves are working! Very cool.
-
Thanks everybody, means a lot. JW, I thought I needed me something light to play with. And the way it hits my target I don't dout it will take a deer down.
-
I don't doubt it either. A bow like that will allow a person to throw arrow after arrow until REAL competent shooting emerges. Deer are not armor plated. Accuracy counts more than draw weight. You and I and a lot of folks on here have been preaching that message mighty long!
-
nice , :)congrats on your bow

That is a beauty, mullet. Jawge

Looks great Eddie. You got those tips way out ahead of the handle there, I'm never brave enough to do that even though I imagine it ups the performance. Probably contributes to the reason your bow is a snappy shooter for its lower draw weight.

Nice one Eddie. 8)

Holy! Beautiful!
Will you shoot it with thumb draw?...
Lots of reflex, wow
Not too long of a bow :P

That's why I was experimenting, they were straight up and that's where they settled in after shooting.

Very nice Sir.

That's a sweet bow Eddie. Great job!
-
That's a beautiful bow.
-
Thank you, Gentleman. I'm tempted to take it with me to Twin Oaks in November if I can get some arrows matched by then
-
I hope someday I can make a bow as nice as that one. Great looking bow!
-
Even just aesthetically, they look great..
-
That's a looker for sure . Profile says it all and it will be a lot of fun to shoot ! Bob.
-
Yes very nice Eddie
-
Congrats on the sweet looking bow.Good blind bow I'd say.Should work on those turkeys there by you.
-
Wow, very nice, that profile is almost like an asiatic horn bow, almost a Ming style to it. I like that a lot, I bet even for lighter weight it would throw a heavier arrow very well.

Thanks everybody, I really appreciate the compliments.

I really started out copying and old Flight Bow I saw at the Classic two years ago. I changed my mind when I decided not to sinew it.
