Okay ya'll. It's time to begin planning for the Thursday night boil. It has become a tradition at the Classic to have a Thursday evening boil. In order to be included in the food line, please sign up with your boil donation, below. There's generally plenty for those who didn't donate but those who bring get served first. We can use just about anything for the boil. Wild game, shrimp, sausage, veggies, etc. Reply with your donation and I'll add you to this list, updating as we go along. 1 month until the Classic - Hoooo Weee! Let the games begin!

I'll help in the kitchen again and will see what I can roust up for the pot. I will bring a large container of Old Bay seasoning. I can also serve a quality control post when it's close to done ::)
-
what time do you need it there ?
We will be arriving sometime Thursday thinking before 4:pm but you know how travel can go would that be to late to contribute?
Maybe I can precook partially before we leave ?
The reason we pushed my younger bro so hard to get Thursday off was in hopes of getting there for the boil !
Just had a different Idea I am sure we need a dessert or two !
count us three hungry boys in!
-
That'll work, Guy! Great idea! Look forward to seeing you.
-
I'd like to be in for some of that this year. The wife make a good cast iron cornbread, I'll volunteer her for a couple of those. Could also bring some potatoes, celery, onions? Don't have any game meat this year which reminds me to practice my shooting more this year.
-
Greg: Taters, Celery & Onions would be great. Can always use them. No one would turn down your lovely bride's cornbread either. I'll put you down.
-
I'll bring some Shrimp.
-
I will also pick up some salt, Cracker says it needs lots of salt. :)
Pappy
-
Hope to be there, if so I'll hit the veg stand down here.I'll be bringing collards and peppers out of the garden for what ever comes up too.
Bone
-
I'm thinking some type of veggies - salad. I'll put something together and have it out.
-
Thanks Bonepile & Parnell! I've added ya's to the list.
-
Matt just let me and Steve know what you need and we will get it. Always good and a lot of fun.

Pappy
Ain't seen anybody leave the Classic hungry yet!
-
Add the Cooks in. Not sure what we'll be bringing but we will bring something tasty. Maybe I'll wait until we get closer and we will see what is needed. Either way, we are in.
Thanks for putting together.
Jon
-
ill be there for the feast,, im bringing 8-10 loaves of becca's homemade sourdough bread, made with ancient starter from another galaxy :o...... yeeeeeeeeeeeeeehaw
-
Yee-haw James!
Cookwood - We are going to need more for the boil pot. If you could bring some taters or even some chicken or shrimp that would be nice. I try to get a few people contributing shrimp since it is a bit pricey for just one person to bring enough for the boil.
-
I can bring shrimp too. That is, if Pappy will let me put it in a freezer until needed.
-
You bet Greg. :) :) You are right Guy, don't know why I worry. :) :) Sounds good so far, and Wally world ant far away. ;)
Pappy
-
Im planning on leaving Thursday morning so how about a deer roast from the Atnip house.
Knapper
-
That would be great, Knapper. I'll put you down.
-
Matt, I'm not sure what time Mike and I will get there but most likely around 6-7pm. What should I do? Should I pre cook/smoke the pork so it can thrown in last minute or wait for Friday? you tell me bud, I'm at your service. Or I could pre cook some of venison andouille sausages and then cut em up and throw em in? Danny
-
That sounds like a plan Danny, we probably won't eat till 7or 8 Thursday anyway,Friday we run the concession stand till 5 pm and then trying to get it set up for breakfast Saturday morning. so the kitchen area is pretty busy with club stuff from Friday morning on. We try to do all our pitch in cooking earlier in the week, before Friday when the kitchen gets really busy trying to feed 5 or 6 hundred folks. ;) ;) :)
Pappy
-
Danny: Yep, I'm with Pappy. Pre-cooking to be used in the Thursday boil will work.
-
Tower, his girlfriend(Robin) and I will be bringing a big pot of stew. 8)
-
Okay, Sasquatch. We'll definitely be enjoying some of that!
-
Matt, how about some corn? Put me down for that!
-
coke, sprite, Dr. pepper ect. ????????????????????????????????
yes or no Pappy ??
I'am in
-
I think the club supplies the cold drinks, Max. Adult beverages are another story. ;)
-
Loope: Corn would be great if its on the cob, especially.
Max: The club sells cold pop and water for a buck and is the route most people go unless you bring your own. For me, a cold beer goes excellent with the boil. We could use more stuff for the boil pot such as carrots, onions, potatoes or meat of some sort. It is okay if more than one contributor brings the same. The pot is huge!
-
Matt I'll bring carrots, cabbage, peppers, whatever is needed. Shrimp too if ya need it. Coming in early Wed.
-
Goth: Carrots would be good. Don't have any of them yet. Cabbage never hurts and we can always use more shrimp! Thank you Sir.

I can bring all of what you said
What is the latest time for me to get there/ noon/ 1:00 what time do we start boiling?
-
Mid to late afternoon Thursday, probably start getting stuff together about 4 or so ,wouldn't you say Matt ???
Pappy
-
That sounds about right, Pappy. It takes us an hour or two for slicing and dicing.
-
Matt, I'll help with any of the slicing and dicing.
-
Allright, I"am in
I will bring the stuff, and help too.
Thanks
-
We can't get there until early Fri morning. Enjoy what sounds to be a glorious feast!!
-
Matt
Looks like we will be there Wednesday instead of Thursday now so if you want us to bring stuff for in the boil we can
What do you need the most of ?
Just let me know as there are 3 of us
-
I have a nearly a case of the Miller Beer brats if that will work. I'll be there around 2-ish Thursday. I could bring other stuff, also. I make some pretty good cornbread :)
-
Sounds great Hedgeapple! I'll mark you down.
-
Hey Matt,
Do you need more shrimp or crawfish for the boil?
Jon
-
Cookwood, By all means! It would be great if you could bring some!
-
Matt I picked up some corn on the cob the other day while at Sam I plan on throwing in along with the other stuff we talked about. :) :)
Pappy
-
Great Mark!
-
Matt Steve and I will run up to wally world day of for what ever. Can't wait to see y'all.
-
Does the local WalMart have frozen shrimp? If so I'll wait til I get there to buy them.
-
I'm sure they do Pat
-
Great Bear! Looking forward to seeing ya's.
-
Great, that will be better than trying to bring them on Tuesday.
-
I agree! Bear, make sure to hunt me up before the Wal-mart shrimp run.
-
Yep they got seen it Sunday I found some more sasuage looking for deer meat to take down so I will throw that in also I think it came from Rocky and Kevin . Pappy
-
I'm guessing we will want to cut up the Beer Brats that I'm bringing? If so I'll slice here and seal them in a vacuum bag. That'll save a little prep time.
-
count me in I'll bring black beans and yard bird.
-
We'd be glad to contribute some beef, onions, green peppers, & celery.
-
OK I got 4 cans of black beans, 3 lbs. of chicken thigh meat and 8lbs of onions I'll dice everything already.
-
Hey is there anything you all still need for the boil (I'm coming up Wednesday and my buddy is coming Thursday) and if so what, and how much?
Thanks!
-
Pretty exited. I'm gonna make it there for the boil this year. 8 with knoll and my kids and another guy. We can bring whatever is needed. Potatoes carrots seasonings more chicken stew meat. Just let us know. Has anyone signed up for the water yet? ;)
-
8? Dave, how many kids are you bringin'??!! >:D
-
Haha mike. I'm only bringing two and then there is the three of us so I guess it's 5 kids. ;D
-
hey guys i should be there Thursday in time for the boil, i have a whole chicken in the freezer i can bring down along with some carrots/onions  if you still want more.
-
getting in on the list a little late but me and the wife will be there Thursday as our first trip. I will come up with something to bring unless there is some suggestions on things needed. shane
-
Time to bring stuff down for the boil!
-
Thanks for doing this Matt!
Good stuff for sure !
-
Yes, good job organizing and running the boil. Had a blast with you and Pat B in the kitchen.
-
just thought I would add this in case anyone is thinking of doing this next year or at another event . It was great and if you are adding to the pot this is not like a stew or soup so no beans or anything small and if you cut it up think large chucks. Thanks to all involved , there was enough for all.
