I thought all of you arrow guys might enjoy looking at these old, Japanese Kyudo arrows. These were gifted to me by my senior Black Belt. I will post the bows under bows that came with it. The arrows are bamboo with target points and are remarkably straight. They are thread wrapped, self nocked, with either Sea Eagle or Hawk feathers. Those were the preferred fletching. The arrow case, yazutsu, is in very bad shape, is woven leather.

Very cool, Eddie. Are the arrows self nocks or bone/horn inserted nocks? Do the shafts look like Tonkin?
-
The arrows are self nock Pat. The shafts look like Tonkin to me but it's hard to tell.

Cool Eddie......

Those are cool!

Yes, they are. I'd like to find someone that could repair or duplicate the quiver. I might make one but it will not be that detailed

Eddie, that's about 100 miles of lace in that quiver and many hours or weaving.
-
Very cool.

Nice arrows Eddie. Don't want to lose those at the 3-D range.

Is that bark wrapped around the bindings?
-
Aaron, it's very fine silk. I'll try to get some better photos. It's hard getting good pictures of arrows.
-
very nice arrows
could you please post a closeup of the quiver?
-
Nice arrows!
Would love a little more info on the quiver as well.
