This was my first attempt at pressure flaking. Overall I'm pretty pleased with it, it's about an inch and a quarter long and about seven eighths wide. Almost legal and seems to be pretty dang sharp. I made this out of some glass I had in the garage that I had picked up from a broken plate glass window. Hope you like and any advice is appreciated. Thanks. Mike
P.S. It started out a lot bigger ;D ;D ;D

Hi, 1st time and looking good!!!

great nothing wrong with that. i love knapping glass but i have a bad relationship with it right now. lol

I'm doing good so far. I haven't lost too much blood. ;D Of course I have good leather work gloves courtesy of the army and I learned first hand the dangers of flint knapping when I went to the perdenailes knap in to watch Bill Metcalfe work. I was standing back about 20 ft and got nailed right in the forhead by a flying chip of flint. Thankfully it only hit me in the head so no harm done, but I did get the point. I'm really enjoying working this glass and learning a lot. Not too mention the weird looks I get from all the neighbors. :D ya'll have a good one. Mike

Thanks for all the encouraging words. It seems like my individual flakes are getting better, at least till I break the tip off. Oh well. It's still a lot of fun. Hope you all have a good one. Mike

looks better than my first point. And you made it out of clear glass too. good job mike

I don't know if there is a difference in the way different colors of glass work, but I do know that the clear stuff will about make you go cross eyed if you look at it too long. ;D Mike

i made my first out of clear glass and i would much rather knap colored glass now. its much easier to see were the flakes come off
