Had to hit something that wasn't man made. Still got some mahogany obsidian I got from Frank at Marshall. Not really my favorite stuff as obsidian seems to want to crush on me but I'm starting to get the hang of it.

Nice blade, sir. Love the band aid. :'(

Thanks Eddie, a little toilet paper wasn't gonna stop this bleeder. Actually had a loose flake come off when I was lightly abrading
-
Very nice point and really like the matching colors of the bloody bandaid and mahogany point
-
Thanks Gutshot your right the blood did match really good 😊

Thanks Chippintuff, it is definitely one of my better ones. Give me some good stone and another 20 years and maybe I can make som real pretty ones, but for now I'm happy with what I'm doing

Nice one BJ. Somebody ask me if I ever cut myself knapping I told them if your afraid to bleed this isn't a hobby to get into.
-
Thanks Rob, I know it's funny you show them points made from glass and they always ask do you ever cut yourself ha what do you think. I always say the same as you not for someone that gets queasy at the sight of blood. Strange how I'm somehow drawn to it anyhow thanks for looking

Very nice point. I really like the color.
-
Thanks selfbow, I guess it's the color of blood with some cool black swirls in it. It is pretty and so so shinny

Nice job on that point. Maybe this coming hunting season that point will draw deer blood instead of human blood.
-
Very nice Bj!

Thanks Redhand, Thanks Scott I appreciate the kind words and thanks for looking.

LOL I guess my previous reply got hacked by a super power.
Any way nice thin point BJ. Try using a coarse sand paper (sanding belt)
to stiffen your edges before strikes. May help. It works for me.

Thanks Zuma. I'm have a real coarse broken grinding stone I use. I have to constantly remind myself to prepare a strong platform with this stuff especially where it seems to have crushy areas in it. My percussion is getting pretty good, pressure so so notching still needs help. But at least I'm not breaking half the ones I'm notching anymore. That was a real discouraging phase.
