Guys, I need a little help here, and I hope you'll correct me if I'm wrong, but would you say I'm not mistaken, if I said that, in general, this is the type of music the Primitive Archer community listens to?
Stevie Ray Vaughn - Mary Had a Little Lamb
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkK7CyeKaoY
Primus - My Name is Mud:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=953PkxFNiko
Stevie Ray Vaughn - Texas Flood

For some reason I just always got the impression that this is the kind of music you guys listen to.

???
???
No.
Why do you ask?

Very interesting question! Totally irrelevant to archery, but good! We prefer country, Celtic, folk, most any original America style, and have several of our songs and narrations out there. Btw, we occasionally make meat!

I am 73, my music tastes run from the gentle harmony of the Platters to the head banging
chaos of Slipknot and the like, Stevie Ray fits right in there, don't care much for Primus.
As long as the artist is very accomplished at what they do I like them, particularly the axe men(or women) who can set a guitar on fire like Steve Vai, Eddie Van Halen, Stevie Ray, Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, David Gilmore and a host of others.
As for women, in this case a 16 year old girl, Tina S will stand up to the best of them, men or women.

I can't stand to listen to any of the whiney voiced female pop stars that all have the same singsong voice that apparently appeals to teeny boppers.
Rap, not on your life although some of the very early stuff by NWA, Sir Mixalot or Tone Loc wasn't too bad.
Country, the old stuff was good, the new stuff is so processed and canned that you can't tell one song from the other. I heard a tape where they played the music track from 7 different current country songs spliced together, you couldn't tell where one ended and another began, they were that similar.
I dismissed Lady Gaga until I heard her perform with Tony Bennet and saw just how amazingly talented she was.
As for myself, not a single person on the planet has less musical ability than I do, like many I tried a guitar as a teen and realized music just doesn't compute in my brain. In life I can do just about anything out there and do it well except play any music of any kind, I will leave that to the experts.
Oh yea, when singing voices were handed out, mine had to come for the biggest monotone bull frog in the pond, absolutely pitiful, I have about a half an octave range.

I am 53 and raised on rock, but from Aerosmith to Metallica. I would probably say I listen to Alternative metal? European Symphonic metal, Rammstein and similar and American Avenged Sevenfold and Five Finger Death punch and love some In this Moment. I hedge to bet this it way over the top for most.
I'll listen to Stevie Ray and Primus, but it's not my got too.

Lately, it has been Richard Wagner, particularly Die Walkure: https://youtu.be/GGU1P6lBW6Q
Also, Rachmaninoff's Op. 34, No. 14, called "Vocalise", specifically with Anna Moffo, a coloratura soprano of unique qualities (this piece is particularly good for late nights when drawing out the dimensions of the bow and following grain): https://youtu.be/iBVkYGLEUpg
The Tchaikovsky Medly, Spike Jones: https://youtu.be/Be7O9g2sphw
Anything by Leonard Cohen: https://youtu.be/nceRfJJZcP4
Tom Waits: https://youtu.be/A2_snSkpULQ
Or Tom's ex-wife, Ricky Lee Jones: https://youtu.be/elmaK9MOuE0
Kruder and Dorfmeister, the KD Sessions, another late night, kinda trance-like: https://youtu.be/INZ_gz70tDY

If anyone is in the Sidney, NE area on Saturday 12 June, Jacie and I just got an invite to fill a gap in the stage show, after the scheduled act cancelled. We are on at 10:15 AM and 7:00 PM. Traditional and original Celtic and Americana, and some storytelling.

I am mostly old Country, I am talking 60's and 70's and 60's early 70's rock, don't care much for the newer stuff of either. :) To be honest don't listen to much of any kind. :)

Still trying to get remakes of PETER,PAUL&Mary, Kingston Trio, and that era! Was lucky enough to meet Peter Yarrow in '61 when he was enroute to LA To link up with Paul and Mary, got to see them live in KC, MO, and met Peter again when he played in Loveland , CO a couple years ago. Lots of musicians have come and gone in my time. Old country, real folk, some great one shot wonders, and some bad car wrecks and plane crashes!

I'm 70.
Here are songs I really like. Rather varied styles.
I like these for several reasons. Reason one I own property on Copper Ridge Road near War Ridge in Poor Valley. Reason Two thunder road runs right by my family home. Dad unknowningly bought a Moonshine runner's car, a 54 Ford that had three deuces and could outrun a 60's Corvette, 150 gallon shine tank he didn't discover till he jimmied the stuck trunk lid.

Oh, my word. That's hilarious. Might have to try to do parts of that with my fifth graders this year...
