My back seized up yesterday shoveling snow, and I have serious pain killers, helped maybe 60%. Snow on the mountain is a good thing but not down here please... It rained during the nite and froze. This morning the driveway and the road had about 3/16" thick of ice.
The west coast during the winter has all weather conditions, freezing rain, wet snow, dry snow, rain and 100% Humidity.. >:D
I tell everyone that I'm waiting for July, bring on the Heat, luv it. :D ;D :D :) :D ;D :)

And winters not here for 10 more days :o :o ;D Bob

We got lit up this weekend. Took the wife and I almost 6 hours to drive 180 miles yesterday to get home from the inlaws. Must be 10 inches of snow standing. They closed most of the schools in west Michigan. Suppose to slow down later in the week.
No big deal when you are use to it.

No snow here , just cold and rainy, be safe my Yankee buddy's, drive safe and stay warm. ;) :)

13 deg here this morning. But it's a "dry cold"... ::)
;)

I prefer cold to heat

We got 8-10" yesterday. Its the light, fluffy stuff that moves easy and can be driven in easy if your equipped with half a noodle that is.

I prefer cold to heat
Yep we are all different. One summer I went to the interior it was 42 Celsius about 100F. After 2 days I thought I died and gone to heaven.
I wish it was dry fluffy snow. Now thats Xmas.. :)

I feel your pain
Thanks Leroy

It's 18 here this morning with wind chill down to 8, then tomorrow up in the 50's and Saturday in the high 60's Saturday night lows in the low 20's with wind and rain, then Sunday high's in the 20's lows in the low teens, I like winter but I wished it would do one of the other, welcome to Tennessee weather. :o

Yuck, Pappy. That's what gets everyone sick that temperature jumping.
Mid 80's here and dry straight through Christmas. Man oh man are the snowbirds pouring in... ::)
I always know when the temperature drops "up there"...the private jets from the super rich folks land across the street from my school with such frequency it reminds me of Chicago or Atlanta.

It's 9 out right now in ohio. High of 14 for the day and dropping off to 2 degrees tonight.

I can get used to the cold and snow. It's the constant 20-30mph wind that just makes life in the great outdoors brutal. The animals are missing that November weather we had now.

It got up to about 3 today in Minnesota. It was -11 when I went to work this morning. 10 inches of snow for tomorrow and then it is supposed to drop down to -22 with -45 wind chills on Sunday. Going to hole up in my shop with the wood stove this weekend.

Just wait a day or it'll change - we had nigh onto 60 today and looking at -7 or lower Sat & Sun. I think most of us tough old' Mountain Men are opting for breakfast Sun instead of freezing our butts off trying to shoot. Might have something to do with the fact that we ain't young and dumb anymore, much less 10 feet tall and bullet proof. As for MN I understand they wire the up the ice for the fishing
Camps and drive out to their huts :). Friend of mine was up thee once for a funeral and said the wind chill was -125 degrees. They had to wait until spring to dig a grave! True story. Down Florida way -they have to go to the outhouse in pairs, one carries a shotgun to protect the other from the skeeters :). First liar ain't got a chance. That firing up the stove in the shop sounds like a real good idea, just have to figure out which project to work on first. Darned shop troll hid my round tuit. Heck we got a wildfire going that really thaw out our shooting range with the high winds down sloping. Nollag Shona, everyone! Season's Greetings or whatever lights yer fire. Btw, that is Merry Christmas in airish, more or less
