Title: A little knapping
Post by: FlintWalker on May 17, 2009, 02:12:08 pm: Here's a few points I've made lately. The Dovetail on top is glass. The first two from the left are from flakes I picked up from the debutage pile at the Classic, the two Dacite points and the last one are from spalls.
All the points I've ever made up until now were just pressure flaked from glass or slabs. But I figure if I'm gonna learn to knapp, I need to learn the whole process, including per"cussin" ;D

Thank you Joe, some of those will be going out for the point swap. ;)

Here's one more I just finished. That's all I'm doing today, I've had enough! My neck, elbow and eyes are hurting. It's 1-3/4" long and as usual, started out much bigger. >:(

Premo ??? Paul I think your loosing it! I have a looong way to go. Every time I get a preform over three inches long even halfway thin...snap! I hit it too high. >:( My aim needs LOTS of work. I think I know the mechanics of what to do, it's the doing' that kills me.
