i am unsure where this should go, but i am wondering if anyone has tried feather painting, its pretty cool from what i saw, i am not sure if it could be considered "primitive" but i have a feeling you may or may not love this

all credit goes to novawuff on furaffinity,
if anyone thinks they can top that, let me know, i will worship you, also... if she can do that to a feather without destroying it, i wonder what she can do with the back of a bow, if i can get a-hold of her i might try for a commission, see if she can decorate the back of a bow for me, would make a beautiful bow for hanging on a wall, or for rare use

She is very good. I might try that. I've never tried painting on feathers.

I rememberseeing an Amish fellow that painted feathers like that at some of the shoots I used to go too. ETAR and Kentucky Classic.

I've got a Red Cardinal on a tail feather (having difficulty loading the pic's) in a lovely little case made from glass and wood frame.
Some really beautiful work on feathers out there... Must try and talk my wife into trying it :) She just made her first sale today for two paintings she painted for a guy in Virginia :D I'm so proud of her!!

Thanks Leroy

I think I might give that a go, looks like it would be a bit of a pain to keep the feather from moving while your painting on it. I'll put up a photo with the results if you like.

Started on a bear tonight but I just had some turkey and I'm going to sleep. It doesn't look like it contrasts enough to me, but I'm sleepy and I think if I try tweaking it tonight I'm going to mess it up beyond repair.

pretty good, where i am at i don't get turkey feathers, only goose, would be neat to get some paints to try it on a goose feather, prolly would be easier , but not as interesting.

Eric you took the words right out of my mouth, I was going to say, it looked like a cross between a Deer, and an Elk, but now that I know it is a red stag, there is no need to show her pictures of Deer, and Elk. ;D Very nice. Do you know what kind of paints she used? I used to paint a long time ago, but haven't painted anything, except a house, since then. I just may have something to take up, when I get settled in Montana. Lot of craft fairs out there. Bone Pile, and Eddie, I didn't know Claude's Daughter painted.
Anyway, those are beautiful, all of them. ;) Thanks.
