Every year, I make my wife a wooden Christmas ornament as a gift. Here's this year's attempt. It's hollow on the inside, so I was able to add a real bell so it rings. The cool thing is that I was able to make it out of a branch of a maple tree from her parents' house. She always loved that tree and would play in it when she was younger. Unfortunately, it was damaged a few years back and had to be cut down, but I saved a few pieces just for this. Sorry for the mediocre picture quality. Word on the street is that Santa's bringing a new camera this way fairly soon. Thanks for looking and merry Christmas to everyone!

Very nice! I like the wooden ornament idea. I think I know what a few hard to shop for people are getting next year... I especially like that you were able to use the wood that you did. Always nice to have that extra tie.

Very nice! I wish I had the time to do stuff like that.

Very cool 8)

The workmanship looks top shelf. But the spirit and story behind the wood source is even better! Nice way to honor your wife's cherished memories.
