Here's a neck pouch made a little bit ago.Serves to keep all kinds of handy little items. It's base and beginning thoughts was this wolverine paw with brain tan sewn on with a rawhide insert to complete the form of the pouch. The closure flap is brain tan beaded with greasy yellows and brick red white hearts[both very old colors] into bands across it with a 4 winds type design. All sioux lazy stitched.Edges are whip stitched with greasy yellows.A 4 strand round braided thong has tin cones and greasy yellow/ & cranberry crow beads attached to it's ends.

I had bought the wolverine paw somewhere CHEAP.The pads of the paw and everything is removed with a knife only leaving the paw skinned out to the claw leaving the claws attatched. When sewing the rawhide insert and brain tan leather covering I pre-awled through the rawhide onto the paw and then used a speedy stitch sewing tool with no problems. The stitching showing on the other side of the hair side is hidden by pulling the hair out from underneath the stitch to cover up the stitch thus making it look like a natural looking paw minus the stitching.

Thats great and the beading. I always wear a medicine pouch for tiny things I find but nothing of the quality and patience of yours. Cool stuff

Very nice. I have the better part of a bear hide to make a few things out of.T his give me an idea for. Something .

huntertrapper...The function is the main thing.Everything else is just for show.
Jeb....The better part of a bear hide leaves a lot of potential for many useful projects.I never throw much away.
