NCLonghunter, Brian is coming and maybe you guys can get Wade(n2everything) to come too. Its been a few years since he's made it. Parnell, we have a nice cool stream running through out place and a little waterfall.

No No No...I'm a Hoosier. ;D
My wife and I are heading to Seattle on the 22nd. Probably can't get away that weekend due to kids and getting ready to go.
One of these years if I get the invite again I'll make it down. dp
-
Dang! Just looked it up on the Google, and I'm just over 2 hours away. Pat, can you give more specific directions or an address? I might be able to make this happen. :)
-
Greg, Check out 1380 Carson Creek Dr. Brevard, NC. 28712 Get to Asheville then take I-26 to Asheville Airport(Hwy 280) and come straight into Brevard from there. My place is about 45 minutes from the Asheville Airport. I will give you better directions closer to time.
-
I sure would love to make it down there again Pat. It was a great time for me. Maybe another year I can....Hope you have the best one yet.....
-

Pat, I won't be able to make it, but I will pass the info to my nephew who lives in Concord NC near Charlotte.

Sorry you won't be making it Forest. Tell your nephew to come on.

-
Dang! Our plant shut down coincides with this. I wont be able to make it. :'(

Sorry to hear this Greg. Maybe next year.

I was hoping to make it too this year, Pat, but I'm going to Cloverdale for the IBO shoot that weekend. Our club are getting some of the targets that they use this year. Yea, I was thinking I would be down in Gray Court SC, south of Greenville at my brother-in-law's during your get together and we could of come up for a day or two. Oh well there's always next year. Have a good and take pictures of the fun. BDan PS... is Eric coming
-
Sorry you won't be making it Brother Dan. Next year for sure. ;) Eric and Randy will be here, a least I haven't heard otherwise. Should be a fun weekend. Hope you have a good trip to Cloverdale.

It all begins one week from today! For those that need directions lets see if I can get you here easily...
...from mid town Brevard, the intersection of Hwy64/Hwy 276 at the top of Courthouse Hill turn left(coming from the east) on Hwy 276S towards Greenville, SC. Go out 276 4 miles to a right on Island Ford Rd(look for Mud Dabbers Pottery Shop on left). Go out Island Ford Rd for 2 miles to a left on Walnut Hollow Rd(just past Island Ford Body Shop on right). Now go 3.2 miles out Walnut Hollow to a left on Carson Creek Rd(look for directional arrow here). Carson Creek road only goes about 2 miles. You will pass under an overpass and head down hill. Calico Lake Drive is at the bottom of the hill on the right.(arrow here). Take Calico Lake Drive, parallel the lake and my driveway is the second on the left(gravel). Look for arrow here too...and you are here. Come on in.
My contact info is:
Pat Brennan
828-507-8603(cell) I should have it on.
828-884-6205(home) call if needed, leave message if necessary.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone. The weather looks like it should be cooler than normal with possible afternoon showers. We've had night time temps in the upper 60s lately and it may be in the mid to upper 50s for the weekend so bring light jackets, sweat shirts and/or flannel shirts. If necessary we'll have a campfire.
Ice is always needed. Ingles Grocery store in on the left coming into town, a good source for whatever and Kmart is right next to it.
If you need directions from another direction or from someone else or other info, give me a call and I'll try to help you out.
-
Should we bring bear spray?
-
The guitars and fruit jars will keep them away. We did have a coyote run through camp a few years ago. ;)
-
Guitars & fruit jars.... Man thats a good start to a song if i ever heard Pat 8)... Brian
-
Bear and honey-dew vine water, someone should write a song about that. ;)
-
Pat, it's looking like I won't be able to pull the big smoker this year-my truck is down at the moment, gonna be limited to bringing what I can shove into a car. I have a big ol' propane flat-top that I think I can manage to get in there somehow for feeding the masses. You still got that Weber kettle?
-
Yeah Steve. I'll have the Webber ready for cooking. Looking forward to seeing you and Tina again. Will you call Barry. I can't find his number.
-
Yeah, I already talked to him about it a couple days ago. He's waiting to see his work schedule, hope he gets to come. Tryin' to get Cade back up here, too.
-

Pat trying to be there Friday see you soon
-
Looking forward to it Brian.
-
Hey Pat,
Make sure my kitchen is clean and ready to go. Save our tent spot close to the kitchen where we were at last year. Oh and you better have me a cigar, and I will bring our friend Evan to join us. ;D Please see if anyone has a good Coleman stove a couple will come in handy. We should get there a little sooner I am taking half day off on Friday. Also have your camera ready to go for pictures I know how you get tied up doing things and forget to take pictures so I will help you out. ;) We are bring Arlo our short long gated wiener pup AKA low dog. Me and Steve will see ya soon, can't wait it is always fun. :) :)
Steve's better half
-
Don't forget to stir up all the yallerjackets and copperheads and get 'em good and mad and out for blood.
-
Killed a good size bald faced hornets nest in the barn but haven't seen any others. No snakes so far either.
Tina, your cigar(s) will be waiting for you when you are ready for it. What can I add to the food you plan to bring? So far I am bringing beer and water, I have foam plates, red solo cups, some forks and spoons, coffee cups, coffee maker and a perc coffee pot, Webber grill, charcoal and two 1# packages of homemade sausage(slightly spicy). I have a Coleman camp stove but will try to get others to bring one.
-
I think you are bring enough, me and steve are still working on the menu for Saturday night. If anyone would like to bring eggs, bacon, bread, lunch meat, hot dogs, paper towels and if they would like to add something to the Saturday night supper that will be great too.
Tina
-
Pat, I'm thinking about making a batch of chicken/shrimp quesadillas for Sat night since I can't bring a smoker.
-
Tina, I'll bring paper towels and I can get 12 to 24 eggs or so. I'll bring the sausage I have.
Steve, I may be able to supply some shrimp. Ill have to check with Momma about that. ;D I can get chicken tenders if that will help and tortilla wraps too if needed.
-
Pat, I'll bring some chicken and tortillas, some shrimp sounds good. :D Maybe some backup chicken, hard to tell how many people will be there from one year to the next.
-
Can't promise shrimp but I'll see what I can do. I will get a pkg of chicken tenders though.
-
Folks, if you have a camp stove, please brig it. Tina needs extra cooking surfaces.
-
Bring your rain gear, folks. Looks like it might get wet! >:(
-
Yall have fun Pat, I feel pretty sure you will. ;) :) :)
Pappy
-
Have a great time Pat. And take lots of pictures please
-
If gonna be a wet weekend. A few have cancelled but the hard core and still coming. ;) It takes a bit more than wet to discourage this crowd.
Thanks Pappy and Charlie. You both know we'll have fun come hell or high water. 8)
-
Let the party begin. I'm heading down to the barn to get some final things buttoned up before folks begin to arrive.
If anyone needs to contact me call my cell. 828-507-8603 or my home 828-884-6205(leave a message if necessary).
See you guys soon!
-
Hi Pat,
Well you know where I am I would guess...especially since my grand daughter will be two this weekend and she was born early while I was having fun at your Camporama two years ago...yep, I am writing from our nations capital Washington, DC. Got a weekend of birth day parties with little 'uns coming up. I hope y'all have a super time this year...enjoy! Hi to everyone!
Rand
-
Hey Pat,
Take lots of pictures 'cause I miss y'all! Tell Randy and Eric howdy for me and hello to Mr and Mrs. H and that Woodland Roamer and Bryon and aw shucks...just everyone!
Rand
-
Sorry you didn't make it Rand but if I had a grand daughter I would rather be with her too. It was pretty wet all weekend anyway with over 2" of drizzle from Friday morning until noon today.
The party is over. Everyone has gone home, most of the clean-up done and my @$$ is dragging. I've got some pics I'll upload and post later.
-
You can rest next week, I am sitting on the edge of my chair....lol. So glad you got to spend some time with some great people Pat. I hope you had wonderful time, got a few bellies full of great food, and a good cigar. Now I know there was some mighty good adult beverages downed though out the weekend,,,but that is all part of it as well.....
-
Here you go Charlie. Here is the barn with the tarps up, before anyone got here...

Tina also took some pics and she should be posting them in the next day or so.
We had over 2" of drizzling rain over the weekend but everyone still had a good time. You know how these primitive archer folks are about having fun. Not hell or high water can slow us down!
-
Man that brings back some memories. And I know the food was excellent as always. Sure did miss not being there....maybe another year.......thanks Pat...a lot. And from the looks of things, you would think it was fall.....lol....
-
Charlie, I wish you could have been here too. We miss you. Even though it was drizzling all weekend the temperatures were perfect. Mid 60's ain't too shabby for mid July. I had a fire pit set up with plenty of firewood but the rainy weather prevented us from having a fire.
-
Yep looks like another great time, rain or shine. :) :)
Pappy
-
Had a great weekend Pat. Thanks!
-
Nice to always see familiar faces having fun doing what we do!!! We got the rain up here in the mountains too while we were camping this wkd...we still had fun too despite the conditions ;) ...attitude is nothing but a frame of mind .....thanks for sharing Guys....one of these days I'd like to come down
-
We had a great time, as always. Good seeing everybody again. I'll try to get our pics up this afternoon. By the time we got home yesterday, got everything unpacked and put up, chunked the dog in the washing machine and such, we were about whupped after only a couple hours of sleep Saturday night. :D
-
Hi Pat we had a great time, we had more bonding time under the shed because of the rain. We all got to talk and catch up with each other which was nice. Rain or Shine we always have a great time. But next year can you order a little sun shine. ;D I am glad the food was good me and Steve should weigh 500pds as much as we cook, but we do cook a little health. Steve will have the pictures down loaded tonight, they look good. Arlo said to say hi and thank you for a great adventure, first time camping he did good.
Tina
-
Thanks Steve and Tina for all your hardwork on dinner on Saturday night. I have some pictures i will Try and post later.
-
I see you even got that ol' greasy hippy to show up Pat! Looks like you guys had a ball. I agree, mid 60's is as good as it gets for this kind of gathering. Not too hot to do some work on wood or rock. Nice rack o' bows to!
-
Did you see the Pearlie Bow, 3rd from the bottom on the bow rack, Pearlie? Everyone was surprised how light, physically it is.
Tina, you have your choice, 85 and sunny or 60s and drizzle. ;D 60s and sunny would be a bit much to ask for md July.
-
I see it now Pat! Have you shot it much? I only ask because the profile still looks good. I wont be offended if you haint touched it yet!
-
I haven't shot anything lately, Pearlie. I will soon though and report back to you. I'm sure it shoots like dream. ;)
-
The top bow looks like something Clint would make....:)
-
