Yep, still in the high 70's in the mountains. If you get one you pretty much have to come home.

October 1st for me :P I just finished up a new set of arrows. I still need to trim some trails and put up the stands.
-

Aug 15th for cow elk and archery antelope. I have three cow tags and was in the hills to cut fire wood. Hot weather makes for no hunting. Saw a really nice mule deer in the velvet. Joe

Didn't draw for Black Hills Deer, West River Deer, or for Antelope. All I got left now is muzzleloading deer, and since I drew the coveted "Any Buck" tag last year, I have zero preference points and will likely draw flies more likely than a tag.
I am an unwilling future vegetarian.
-
I got 2 elk tags, deer "A" tag (either sex whitey or muley), Whitey doe tag, antelope A tag, and 1 more turkey tag, plus I can get wolf, lion and bear tags as well, and I can also hunt pheasants, sage grouse, Sharptail grouse, Hungarian partridge, several different kinds of ducks, Canadian geese, coots and doves. As well as small game and predators year round.

Sounds like I live in the wrong state!

Deer opened a week ago. Been out once, seen lots of does and fawns. No bucks yet. Not allowed any does in my part of CA.
Than last night, I was moving a mattress for the missus and I wrenched my neck >:( >:( >:( Woke up yesterday and could hardly turn my head to the left. So bummed right now. I'm going to take some Advil and see what happens tonight.
