Title: seneca bow
Post by: chessieboy on June 28, 2010, 12:02:22 pm
I was at a knapp in the weekend working on a bow when an anthrapologist showed me an original seneca bow.  It was believed to be oak and looked liked an ELB but smaller in diameter.  It had a D shapped belly and fairly flat back.  It was 72.5" T2T and 69.75 K2K.  I had pictures taken but haven't gotten them sent to me yet.  Any way he asked me to do a replica but I'm trying to get an average draw weight and brace height.  The knocks looked as if they were for a thin string.  I was guessing 35-40 lbs but I'm looking for input.  Please chime in.
