He was making and selling arrowhead necklaces and donated a flint knife for the raffle. He has stage 4 throat cancer and starts his round of chemo tomorrow. Please keep Bill in your prayers.

Its free to set up and the shoot is a busy one with plenty of traffic to view your wares. I have been to shoots all around the state and this one is top two or three for number of attendee's, yet VERY few vendors. Seems like somebody is losing out on business to me. Thanks

I will get to see Rocky and a few more in a few weeks,they are getting 20 more new targets from the IBO world,they said they were coming to shoot this year. See yall the first of August. Anyone that is anywhere close or not so close shouldn't miss this one,great course and best folks you will ever meet. :) :)Lots of fun and fellowship. :) :)

I seen the new 2012 t-shirt concept the guys came up with and it looks great! Im told we are setting three courses this year rather than two? We shall see Thursday and Friday night when I drive up to help out. This si the best shoot in Michigan. I go to almost all of them and this one is the only one that wont be missed by me!

Last year we had a few self bowyers around and this year plan to have several more. We/I would love to see some of you show up and show off your primitive skills. Bowyering, arrowsmithing, leathercraft, knapping or whatever your in to. Lots of eyes and folks wallking around to visit with and answer questions....thats my favorite part!

May show up Weds night and if not early thursday morning. Bringing that osage stave with me Chris so get ready to view how "stupid" works, lol. Translation, I am going to need some help!!!

Hey Jon chase a ring on that back if you can. My porta bench isnt really good for ripping bark and sapwood off. Not to say there wont be a more robust bench around to use? I will help all I can. I would rather do that than work on my own at these events.

Post by: PEARL DRUMS on July 26, 2012, 08:02:36 pm: Brent showed me a 32 x 80 full print layout of the courses. Very cool with several creek crossing shots and one loooong course, I love those. There is another 15-20 target shorty and another 15 target broadhead only course. They all start or end by your camp Pappy....................looks like you and I may be (hiccup) neighbors this year! Save me a spot, I will be there around 5:00 Thursday afternoon.

Use to take a half day to shoot the long one and I would get parched. ;) ;D ;D Hope to be there Wed. morning,we haven't decided yet but may leave Tuesday evening and drive all night.Got 5 or 6 meeting us there Wed. also. :) :)

Morning. Can't wait,really been looking forward to this week. It's about 10 hours for us driving at night. :) I guess it will just me and Jon,everyone else bailed,that always seems to be the case, everyone is going until it gets close then the excuses start. >:( >:( ;)

This is gonna be a good one guys and gals! I will be there Thursday eve. Our camp was pitched last night.........got the good spot!

Post by: MWirwicki on August 05, 2012, 11:49:28 pm: Again the shoot at Elm Hall, MI was a hoot. Just plain good folks, club members that work their tails off for ya, lotsa food and fun. Dylan and I finally shot the "Long Course" with Rocky, Debbie, Brent, Megan, Brandon and Kevin. My favorites were the targets placed on the sandbars in the river. The elk and twin bears were pretty cool too.

Both hands seem to grip that can just perfect, Id say your fine Carlton Fiske. The bow finished off nice. Sucks we didnt get a round in. See ya in Marshall 2013!

The 12oz curl rehab went well. The doctors orders were to keep it elevated and cold, and I'm not one to argue with doctors. Anytime I'm outdoors with a beer above shoulder level it's a good time.

I had a great time shooting the courses and meeting some new folks. The food was outstanding. I'll for sure be there next year. If I have a camper by then I may even drag the wife along.

"As a member of the club and organizer of the stick bow shoot along with Brian (Rocky). I want to thank all those who were there for coming and making it a blast of a weekend. Cant say enough about the people that attend and the many new people there this last weekend. Great crowd and great people make it exciting and well worth the effort to put that kind of event on. We had alot of fun and we look forward to next year.

Its hard to get to meet everyone that may have called me or Brian and got information on the event and made the trip to the shoot. I hope you made it and had a great time. We hope you come back and tell your friends about the shoot. We are making plans for next year and we hope you all do as well.

Pappy it was great to see you as always. Your presence is amazing. People look forward to seeing you. Your a class act!

Chris thanks for pushing the shoot on the websites, as it makes a difference.

I hope everyone has a great & safe upcoming hunting season and we look forward to next year with everyone."
