Title: sinew backed juniper bow
Post by: Redhand on April 24, 2016, 05:07:22 pm
I decided to finish this bow up with some paint work this bow is Rocky Mountain Juniper.  I have always wanted to try my hand at making one of the re flexed bows.  Tillering was a bit different as I soon found out.  Never the less it was quite enjoyable.  Thanks for looking.
Here are the stats
54 inches NTN
45#@25 inches
2 layers of sinew
sinew nock with horse hair tuft
natural earth pigments mixed with hide glue
handle is smoked buckskin
B-50 string with beaver fur silencers

Very nice!  I have to ask...where or how did you come up with earth pigments so vivid and bright?  The coloration is astonishing!  Josh
